Napoleon Dynamite sounds like the despicably awful "Elf..." That movie sucked.
And MTV just tries to appeal to teens, who mostly love napoleon dynamite. So don't worry about that 8)

Napolean Dynamite has been out for a while now but it wasnt until just recently that I saw it. And I must say, it was trash. First of all, it lacked any recognizable plot. It was just all of the stupid ways that Napolean made a fool of himself. It could have been called "The Pointless and Idiotic Life of Some Moron Named Napolean". He meets a foreigner named Pedro who is almost as sadly stupid as he is. He dances. He continues making a fool of himself. Yayyy....that is so exciting. :x Secondly, it wasnt even funny. Sure, people who are idiots and pretend not to be can be somewhat humorous but anyone can do that, and Napolean does it poorly. It failed to make me laugh even once. Worst of all, it won best movie or something on MTV, which is simply ridiculous. Honestly, it worries me. What is this world coming to when such a frighteningly bad movie is thought of as a quality film?! It really bugs me that so many people have fallen to a level where idiots ( by this I mean those that thought up and created this piece of poo) can be congratulated for bad work. Shameful. BTW: Im back!! I was gone for a little while but im here now. Ive been really busy! |

Well, my thoughts on Napolean are quite different. Sure, it really was pointless and stupid, but there is a humour in that. I found Napolean to be very random (Like the part when the uncle throws the steak at Napolean), in which indicates that you don't know what to expect. I do disagree, as you, with the fact that it should have made "best movie", but I didn't despise it either. The movie "Napolean" is quite differen't from most movies, making it one of a kind, and that's my theory on why so many people favoured it. |

Everybody has a different kind of humor, and I think that is a part of it. I found it hilarious, and I don't care what awards it won, it was funny, and to me a decent movie. I enjoyed it and I now have it on DVD. |
