What are you favourite singers and why?

1. Ian Gillan (Deep Purple) - The screaming, basically. Even now he's nearly 60 - great!
2. Alice Cooper - Ever sinister and has remained consistent over the years.
3. Mick Jagger - Diverse and reliable.
4. Robert Smith (The Cure) - Amazingly youthful present-day.
5. Jake Burns (Stiff Little Fingers) - again, youthful soounding; pisses all over Green Day et al - in his mid-forties.
6. Mark Chadwick (The Levellers) - Unique folk-punk style.
7. John Lydon (Sex Pistols) - Snarling teenage angst summed up.
8. Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac) - The only female voice I've really got on with. Best at the dramatic Rhiannon, etc.
9. Robert Plant - Genuinely unique, great ability even today at 57.
10. Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) - Emotionally affecting, if not often predictable.

I think that this topic:

Pretty much covers this question. It doesn't say that you only have to post your SINGLE favourite singer in it, though. I did a list, everybody can as well. Closing this one.
