I have a link, if i'm allowed to post it can a mod tell me. Its a link to watch dragonball, dragonball z, and dragonball gt for free. Possibly my favorite tv show, tied with big bang theory, and $#17 my dad says(see my other two topics). okay the story goes goku used to live with his "grandfather" who found him in the woods, goku was angry, wanted to fight all the time, then a simple bump on his head made him into a nice, young boy. he then goes on to meet bulma, a girl who is a "genius" shes the daughter of Dr.Brief, creator of capsule corp. and the capsule. a capsule is a small object capable of transporting anything. Basically a suitcase the size of a pill, that can carry a car, plane, or even a glass of water. watch more at insert link here pleasde feel free to post whatever you want about dragonball. |

Okay, I used to like this anime but I can't even force myself to watch it anymore...it was never my favorite though but I really liked it during the age of what is known as Toonami... |

the thing about the dragon ball show is that it ruins what i think the voices plus the names get screwed so I hate it in general plus the new dragon ball kai sucks! |

i dont mind gt a bit because it goes farther in the story goku's older etc to me ranking goes 1.gt 2.dragon ball 3.z 4.kai |

You guys all do realized that Kai is just Dragonball Z refurbished a little with a little bit of censorship, right? It's the exact same show. I'm actually watching DBZ all the way through with my older cousin right now. We just finished season one (took us twelve hours!) and we're going to do s2 and s3 over break. So far it's a pretty cool show! Gohan stops being an annoying little ^&*(% at about ep10. From then on I like him. Also, all of the names are food puns.

Puns? and yeahh kai is the same, but people sound different, they all sound like losers. and DBZ, im on ep. 69, wbu? Dendes' demize! PAY ATTENCION TO HOW VEGITA CHANGES!!!!! it's so cool how he gradually turns into a good person just like Piccolo. also in the song "Kyles mom is a BI_ACH" carman says "Klyes mom is a super king kamehameha BIACH!!" i thought it was funny... |

Dragonball and Dragonball Z were integral parts of my childhood, I'm not ashamed to admit. Though such a long series was only tolerable spread out over several years, and only while it remained entertaining to my young mind. By the time they bothered to air Dragonball GT on Cartoon Network, I was about fed up. These days, such lengthy series filled with nothing but exaggerated shounen action do little more than disgust me. I'll still look back on DBZ with fond memories, though. And I don't see much of a reason to hate Dragonball Kai. It's basically just the same story, but faster moving (I don't think you'll miss all that power-up filler that much). No complaints about the remastered animation either. And regarding the complaint about the voices: although it's true that they were rerecorded, most of the original seiyuu are still responsible for the same characters. I no longer have enough interest in the franchise to warrant watching the whole story again, but I think Kai was a good idea. also the food/underwear/etc. naming schemes are older than urmom |

DBZ was one of my favorite series growing up, and I still do occasionally want to see Goku turn Super Saiyan for the first time and beat the living s*** out of Frieza. But as you grow older the series does tend to loose its touch since every saga is essentially the same (bad guy shows up, bad guys messes everything up, good guys try to fight bad guy and usually fail, Goku reaches a new power level, Goku beats the crap out of bad guy, bad guy either dies horribly or surrenders and becomes a good guy). In order of how I like the franchise as a whole, I would say I enjoyed Dragonball Z the most, followed by the original Dragonball, then GT. I haven't watched Kai, but since it's essentially a remastered version of DBZ I'd probably put it into the same spot. And plus, we do have to thank Dragonball Z for providing the internet with one of the most memorable memes of all time... [link] |
