the wii is a great console to have, especcially if you have freinds round alot of people are going with the ps3 for the graphics, but i heard from alot of people that the gameplay was completely... the 360 is a pretty good console, i dont have one but ive tryed it out a few imes in shops, but its mainly just updated grapics. the great thing about the wii is you can play alot of good games, say zelda, and actually swing the remote for a sword the ps3 at over £400 isnt very good pricewise either, id just go with a ps2

Actually in the case of Twilight Princess that isn't true. Swinging the Wiimote repeatedly will execute different slashes and combos.

Slashing the Wiimote vertically would give you a vertical slice, etc. True 1:1 sword control would be too complicated, since there would be too many animations to code into the game.

I dunno, I've seen it done before. And it depends on how they design it. For example, if they create the actions as an animation, then they would have to design every single angle, and it would take forever, but if the console has a high processing chip (like you get in the next-gen consoles), then it has the power to render the action on the spot. It wouldn't need any coding.

Xbox 360 is the next-gen war winner simply because it has the best online, most amount of games, and most exclusive games. The Wii comes in at second because of its lack of games as of right now, but its price and revolutionary design it beats the PS3. PS3 is a failure at least in my eyes. There simply isn't enough games, but the graphics and blu-ray could have made it competition to the Wii and XB360, but sadly Sony didn't do as well with the PS3 as it did with the PS2.

It isn't a failure, it is actually the fastest selling console ever in the UK.

I want to get a Wii for Christmas, and I'm drooling on my keyboard for SSBB. The Wii is by far the best, it's technology is extremely advanced and there are games for everyone, while on the PS3/Xbox360 It's 30% Racing 55% Violence/ Warfare etc...

Thats because Sony was giving away big screen TVs when selling PS3s somewhere in Europe (I'll need to find news again for more info, if I can find somewhere to link I will later) that cost more than the system. Edit: Found it! I forgot you also get a FREE Cab ride to carry your FREE 46 inch HD TV and PS3.

Wii's awsome! You can actually get a work out from playing Wii sports! My arm burned like crap after the first day. And it has SSB! You KNOW it's the best if it has SSB.

I, personally, have to say the Wii is the best console. It is by far, the cheapest of the three, which is very convenient to me, since I don't have a job and can't afford a $350 plus game console. I am perfectly fine with the PS2, which has about the same games with slightly worse graphics, but much more affordable. The Wii has a lot of different games comparing with the gc, including the new Super Smash Bros. (:P) That's my two cents :p.
