What songs have you completely memorized from the first to last line?

When I was a couple years younger, I used to be able to say the whole song of Holiday, be Green Day.

The very first song that I ever memorized was All Star by Smash Mouth, when I was 8 years old. Since then I have memorized a multitude of songs, too many too remember in a few moment's thinking. The list is mostly made up of various favorites by Rush, The Who, Queen, and a couple other random songs.

I memorize three different types of songs:

Songs that are played incessantly until you are forced to remember them, memorable songs that I just couldn't live without knowing all the words, and crunk songs, because they usually only have about ten words.

I remember songs that are played over and over again and any song I like. Then I memorize songs that are popular that I don't like so people don't think I am lame. The longest song I have memorized is "Trapped in the Drive-Thru."

I memorize most songs, most songs I own I could probably recite off the top of my head, but some might need music playing to help.

I... didn't know memorizing songs was such a rare thing.

I used to know Peaches by The Presidents of the United States of America, and that's the only song I've ever memorized. For some reason, it was so popular in fourth grade, and I heard it so many times, that I remembered the words. I still know a lot of them, but I fell out of contemporary music. To sing all the notes of most classical songs in your head or aloud is a little more complex since they don't have traditional refrains or repeat chords.

I have so many songs memorized in my head, there should be an entire section of my brain just for memorizing songs haha

It's funny though, like when ever you hear a song from years ago you still remember the lyrics. I think it's to do with something in yr brain but who knows haha. But some songs I learned the lyrics to by listening to it a couple times like 4-6 are:

Piece of me - britney spears
fergalicious - fergie
glamorous - fergie
the way i are - timbaland

and a couple others lol
i just love music in general so it's easy haha

I memorize songs I really like, of which you guys know few becaue they're mostly country. Aside from those, I've memorized a few Kelly Clarkson(Becausen of You, Since You've Been Gone, and Behind These Hazel Eyes) songs and various others I like, including 1985 and Complicated.

I memorize all the songs that I really like. Evanescence is the big exception though I love ALL of her songs, so I have all of them memorized. :)

1 song that i memorize would be:P. Diddy, Faith Evans, 112 - I'll Be Missing You
its a classic:
"Seems like yesterday we used to rock the show
I laced the track, you locked the flow
So far from hangin on the block for dough
Notorious, they got to know that
Life ain't always what it seem to be (uh-uh)
Words can't express what you mean to me
Even though you're gone, we still a team
Through your family, I'll fulfill your dream (that's right)
In the future, can't wait to see
If you open up the gates for me
Reminisce some time, the night they took my friend (uh-huh)
Try to black it out, but it plays again
When it's real, feelings hard to conceal
Can't imagine all the pain I feel
Give anything to hear half your breath (half your breath)
I know you still living your life, after death

Chorus: Faith Evans

Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you

[Puff] I miss you Big

Verse Two: Puff Daddy

It's kinda hard with you not around (yeah)
Know you in heaven smilin down (eheh)
Watchin us while we pray for you
Every day we pray for you
Til the day we meet again
In my heart is where I'll keep you friend
Memories give me the strength I need (uh-huh) to proceed
Strength I need to believe
My thoughts Big I just can't define (can't define)
Wish I could turn back the hands of time
Us in the 6, shop for new clothes and kicks
You and me taking flicks
Makin hits, stages they receive you on
I still can't believe you're gone (can't believe you're gone)
Give anything to hear half your breath (half your breath)
I know you still living you're life, after death

Chorus

Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you

[Faith Evans] Somebody tell me why

Interlude: Faith Evans

One Black Morning
When this life is over
I know
I'll see your face

Outro: 112

Every night I pray, every step I take
Every move I make, every single day
Every night I pray, every step I take
[Puff] Every day that passes
Every move I make, every single day
[Puff] Is a day that I get closer
[Puff] To seeing you again
Every night I pray, every step I take
[Puff] We miss you Big... and we won't stop
Every move I make, every single day
[Puff] Cause we can't stop... that's right
Every night I pray, every step I take
Every move I make, every single day
[Puff] We miss you Big

Faith Evans:

Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you

Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you

Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you"

I've memorized Because of You since my friend listens to it 24/7. Then one day I started to hum the song during math class when we were doing sin/cos/tan work. Everyone was giving me weird looks. That was definitely one of the top ten most embarrassing moments of my life.

I've also memorized portions of lyrics from other random songs.

I can't stand Evanescence; her voice could tear a hole in the space-time continuum. Whenever I hear her I think of the devil…

Ouch! Well you're entitled to your opinions. I think Amy Lee has the most beautiful voice. Evanescence was the band that got me into music; before then, I hated music a lot.

I have memorized a lot of old jazz songs, like "Betcha Nickel", "They Can't Take That Away From Me", and others. I also know a lot of songs by the Carpenters.

Besides the songs you learn as a little kid with like only 1 verse, I have completely memorized "In the End" by Linkin Park because it was the first song that actually brought me into music.

Any song I hear a few times I naturally memorize; it's the best way for me to study. :D However, the ones I MUST memorize are:

Here's Where I Stand - from the movie Camp

On My Own - from Les Miserables

You Raise Me Up - originally by Josh Groban (I think, shoot/tell me if I'm wrong)

Everytime - Britney Spears. (This is one of the prettiest songs ever and you don't have a soul if you can appreciate the lyrics )
