My favorite genre in a television show is definately Dramedy (Drama/Comedy... it is real), consisting of shows such as: nip/tuck, House, and Rescue Me. Closely followed by Comedy. I have been recently watching a little bit of Anime late at night, although I was never really into it.

I can tolerate mostly anything, as long as it's well written. My favorite has to be thriller/horror though, and I am a huge fan of Stephen King's novels.

My favorite genre would no doubt be fantasy because the writer can put anything in it. they can make it be realistic at some points and then make someone fly and shoot fire! :P

Science-fiction is my favorite, with action in it of course. I like Star Wars in particular, read about 12 of those books. Timothy Zahn is a good author if you like Sci-fi, and he wrote my favorite book, Angelmass, about a black hole that becomes alive and starts to move and deliberately kill people.
Another good one is THe Time Machine by H. G. Wells, about a man that goes forward to the year 802,701 about 800 thousand years into the future, to find that people have become either apelike-bests or their prey, the child-like people. It was written in the year 1895.

Timothy Zahn's books are all amazing. Have you read the Conquerors Trilogy (Conquerors' Pride, Conquerors' Heritage, and Conquerors' Legacy)? Or the Quadrail series (Night Train to Rigel, The Third Lynx, Odd Girl Out, and a 4th book that comes out this year, I think)? Or The Icarus Hunt? Or The Green and the Gray? Or any of his earlier ones, especially Triplet or A Coming of Age? Or his Star Wars books, especially the first trilogy, Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command?

(Sorry to gush, but Zahn is one of my all-time favorite authors.)
