Post subject:  Been in choir?

I've been in choir for... one year. Yeah that sounds pathetic, but my teacher said I was good enough to go onto his next class, if I had not been in the 12th grade.

So far I've been in Beginning Women's Choir, I hope to get into another class in college.

Choir's fun, especially when you have friends in it...

Has anyone been in Choir here? Or wanted to?

If so which classes have you been in?

(Um... is this in the right place...?)

I'm joining choir this upcoming school year. I love singing, but I just don't think my voice is that good. And I have a pathetic range. I'm a big fat honking tenor (Maybe counter lol.) and I can barely hit an A between middle and tenor Cs. With that I'm only like a tenor II.

What part do you sing?

I don't think we got too much into detail with it being Beginning Choir and all, but I was/am an Alto (lower singing) I CAN be a Soprano, but I feel better at a lower range.

When I was younger, "music" class was mandatory, which was basically choir. I opened my mouth but didn't dare let anyone hear me.

I was in the 7th grade choir. I like music but I don't like to sing because I think I sing bad. The teacher said I had a nice voice but I didn't by it. I soon became tired of singing the songs she chose and quit. I only joined because my girlfriend and two friends joined.

My teacher threatened to stick me in the choir because I wouldn't stop singing. I didn't stop, and I didn't join the choir.

One of my more violent teachers was threatening one of the students by telling him that the choir needed more sopranos and he should watch his...well, you get the idea.

I proceeded to tell her that sopranos come in bucketfuls and said student wouldn't be a soprano anyway, he would be called a castrato. :l Am I a nerd?

Nah, don't worry. I can plenty of choir-members Gastrodons, too.

I was in both lyric choir and show choir Freshmen and Sophomore year; this year I wasn't in it due to schedulding problems.

In my upcoming senior year, though, I plan on rejoining.

Oh, I'm a barritone bass by the way.

I'm currently a member of my country's only national youth choir and I have the occasional solo in one of our performances. It was only formed a year ago, so I've been with it since it's started.

I'm a soprano, but I'm getting better at singing alto.

I was with my school choir for five years (I say was, I've just finished school), me and my friends joined, but by 2007 I was the only one left from my yeargroup, so was the oldest one there. I enjoyed it though because the youngsters would ask me if they didn't know what they were doing and stuff, and they're so shy - especially when they sing! (Why on earth did they join the choir?) But the sopranos had me for power and volume until I was removed from the soprano group A) to actually make the other sopranos sing and B)because, with me, the sopranos overpowered everyone else. So I was taken from the group and made into a solo soprano whenever the teacher could make me so.
One of my favourites was Karl Jenkin's "Adiemus".
Fun!
