| Post subject: | Favourite Comic |
So far I have not seen a 'Favourite Comic' thread so, now we do. :] This is for any comic geeks to share what they're currently reading and summarise / talk / whatever it. I'll start then; Currently I really like Runaways and Bad-Ass, and I'm reading Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men. Runaways is about some teenagers who find out their parents are a secret organisation of super villian, naturally they find out that they have inherited their parents abilities. They then runaway. I really like the concept, controversial to many comics, and the writing is impeccable. 9/10 Bad-Ass is about a comic junkie who tries to be a superhero, but basically goes around beating people with sticks. In the first installment he confronts thugs for graffiti, but gets stabbed then beaten by a mercedes. After recovery he went straight back and his next fight landed him in the spotlight with someone filming it and sending it to YouTube. The idea is common, but it really hasn't been executed this well previously, the artist does show abit more blood than necessary though. 9.5/10 |
