Well, I'm saving up for an iPod too, but I'm pretty much set on what I want - Classic iPod. The new nano looks sweeeet as, I wouldn't mind going for that one either, BUT I wanna have more than two movies to watch AND my music collection whilst I'm out and about. The Shuffle I suppose looks trendy but you might as well settle for a cheaper music player if wanting something of that capacity. One thing is for sure - there is NO WAY I am saving up for an iPod Touch; sure, it's flashy and hi tech and a nerd's (ps: ss is a poser, he's not really a nerd he can't even do LOGARITHMS base e ffffff) best friend, but just look at the price tag compared to the Classic, which can hold up to 20 times the capacity of the Touch. And seeing as I obtain my music in a more, uhhh, modern way I probably couldn't use the Touch's features to its maximal potential anyway. I WOULDN'T SAY NO IF *someone* decided to just pass one along to me for Christmas though! but somehow I think that is never going to happen.
As for colours, I don't know why anyone would go for any other colour apart from black. Just looking at black electronic gaming devices make me melt with jealously (eg psp, black phones (not the plastic ones), laptops, ohhhhh) and everything else (especially WHITE, eg white ds) makes me want to puke on it.
Actually, if I DO eventually get an iPod I'm going to look like the world's biggest conformist because I told everyone off who had an iPod c. two years ago that they get sucked into marketing traps and were more easily swayed into being victims of peer pressure. I just hope they'd been listening to their GRRRR ARRGH ANGRY DEATH METALL music and couldn't hear me at the time
