Since I'm low on money, I'm considering gettinga Wii. However, with the exception of SSBB(which is not even out), there are harldy any promising games. So can you give me any ideas, except for Guitar Hero (no brainer), for a Wii game. Eventually, I'll get a 360 (which GB idk).

My Ideas:
Smackdown VS. Raw 2008
Fire Emblem: Raidant Dawn
Madden 08

Okay, first off, get the big three Nintendo franchises (Mario, Metroid, Zelda), those go without saying as quality games on the Wii, but I'm mentioning them just to be sure. From there, get these:

Zack and Wiki: Quest For Barbaros' Treasure (extremely underrated puzzle/adventure game, didn't get publicized as much as it should have)
Resident Evil 4 (Best version of RE4 ever, get it even if you've played RE4 on a different system)
SSX Blur (Very good use of the Wiimote, but steep learning curve)
Excite Truck (straight-up arcade racing fun)
Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 (best FPS controls on the Wii so far, no friend codes in online modes)
Trauma Center: Second Opinion (medical sim, 9th on GameRankings for Wii games, get the sequel after it comes out)
Mercury Meltdown Revolution (puzzle, great motion controls, plus it's $20)

And then the stuff that will be out later on:
No More Heroes (GTA-like game, developed by the makers of Killer7)
Mario Kart Wii (same formula as before, but with 12-car races and online)

That's all I can think of as far as games that aren't directed purely at casual gamers, though I can list some of the best in that genre if you want.

I've actually found myself spending more time on virtual console games than anything else, actually. Also, Wario Ware Inc is always fun D;

It's good for Wii since you really see the full capabilities of it, what with the different positions and stuff, it's great.

It's also really fun if you have a lot of people over.

If you're looking for a good game then you should get Sonic and the Secret Rings. It may be a spin-off game but the gameplay outdoes the Sonic Next Gen game easy. It has challenging levels and mulitple missions to test your skills with the Wii remote.

Good Games I own on wii:
Resident Evil 4
Soul Caliber Legends(which is actually a good game that any fan of the SC series should play)
Legend Of Zelda Twighlight Princess(of course it's good it's zelda)
Zack&Wiki:Quest For Barbaros Treasure(kind of like zelda except it was made by Capcom and your a pirate)
Metroid Prime Corruption(best shooter on the wii)

Games I don't own but are great:
SSBB
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Rayman Raving Rabbids 1&2
Nights:Journey of Dreams

Just two quick questions:

1. Does the Wii just have 1 set FC?

2. Can you get Wii Points without having to buy it at a store?

1. No. Here's the situation with friend codes:

  • The Wii itself has a 16-digit friend code that you use for Miis and stuff like that that's not really in a specific game

  • Nintendo-developed games have a 12-digit friend code used for that game only

  • Third-party-developed games are not forced to use friend codes, but can if they want to.

2. Well...yes, technically; there are two options to buy Wii Points. The first is (as you mentioned) buying the point cards at a store. The other is going directly through the Wii Shop Channel and buying whatever amount of points you want with a credit card. There isn't any option to earn Wii Points at the moment, though, if that's what you were asking.

Also, could you stop typing in black? It's really hard to read on the background here.
