Post subject: | Personal 'Saddest' Song |
I was just wondering what people's 'saddest' song is - basically, the song that makes you feel the most sad or depressed, whether you like it or not? (Try not to pick more than two - there's loads that make me sad even if I like them but just a couple that affect me the most). For me, it's the song that goes "I can't live, if living is without yoouu" - I don't like it, (though I don't hate it), but I heard it on the radio before and it reminded me of how depressed it makes me feel for the few minutes while it's on. The other one is a song from a pretty famous film that goes "And IIIIIIIIIII will alwayss love yoooooooouuuuuuu", lol. Although I mostly like rock music, I do think this song is O.K. - it just also makes me quite sad. |

I don't really but there are a few that can make me feel more depressed if I'm feeling down at the time when I listen to them. |

Same, but well... "Alive" by Pearl Jam is pretty upsetting, you gotta admit that. (Lyrics are;) Son, she said, have I got a little story for you What you thought was your father was nothin' but a... While you were sittin' home alone at age thirteen Your real daddy was dyin', sorry you didn't see him, but I'm glad we talked... Oh I, oh, I'm still alive Hey, I, I, oh, I'm still alive Hey I, oh, I'm still alive Hey...oh... Oh, she walks slowly, across a young man's room She said I'm ready...for you I can't remember anything to this very day 'Cept the look, the look... Oh, you know where, now I can't see, I just stare... I, I'm still alive Hey I, but, I'm still alive Hey I, boy, I'm still alive Hey I, I, I, I'm still alive, yeah Ooh yeah...yeah yeah yeah...oh...oh... Is something wrong, she said Well of course there is You're still alive, she said Oh, and do I deserve to be Is that the question And if so...if so...who answers...who answers... I, oh, I'm still alive Hey I, oh, I'm still alive Hey I, but, I'm still alive Yeah I, ooh, I'm still alive Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah |

"Concrete Angel" by Martina McBride. Through the wind and the rain, she stands hard as a stone in a world that she can't rise above. But her dreams give her wings and she flies to a place where she's loved. Concrete angel |

By bands I actually like, and not just random songs I rarely hear, the songs that make me feel sad/depressed because I can relate to the lyrics, but that I love, are: 'You Could Be Happy' by Snow Patrol - "You could be happy and I won't know But you weren't happy the day I watched you go And all the things that I wish I had not said Are played in loops 'till it's madness in my head. Is it too late to remind you how we were? And not our last days of silent screaming blur. Most of what I remember makes me sure I should've stopped you from walking out the door. You could be happy, I hope you are You made me happier than I'd been by far. Somehow everything I own smells of you And for the tiniest moment it's all not true. Do the things that you always wanted to Without me there to hold you back don't think, just do. More than anything I want to see you girl Take a glorious bite out of the whole world." Or Evanescence's 'My Immortal' - "I'm so tired of being here Suppressed by all my childish fears. And if you have to leave I wish that you would just leave 'Cause your presence still lingers here And it won't leave me alone. These wounds won't seem to heal. This pain is just too real. There's just too much that time cannot erase. ... You used to captivate me By your resonating light Now I'm bound by the life you left behind. Your face it haunts My once pleasant dreams. Your voice it chased away All the sanity in me... When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears I held your hand through all of these years But you still have all of me." |

"Black", and particularly "Wash", by Pearl Jam are very emotional. If you're suffering from heartache when you listen to them you're likely to be reduced to tears before their end. |

I can't think of anything that makes me sad or anything but I can think of two kinda sad songs. "Youth of the Nation" by P.O.D. and this one song about some runaway whos best friend gets shot and she gets pregnant and what not. Can't think of it but it is a female singing and it features Ludacris. |

Well... After browseing my dad's coughamplecough music collection, I managed to find several others that make me feel some-what upset; Bittersweet symphany ~ The Verve Love said No Join Me Buried Alive By Love Solitary Man Right Here In My Arms (Last lot are by H.I.M. Don't ask why they make me feel upset, I guess it's just the style of music rather than the song itself...) |

Probably Save me from Myself, of Christina Aguilera. Or M.I.A. by Avenged Sevenfold, it's hasn't got a slow rythm but the lyrics are pretty strong. |
