Just wondering if anyone here is a fan of the Steam games, such as Half-life and Counter Strike. I recently got into them and have become addicted. Personally they my one of my favorite games. |

My comp can't take HL and CS series, because well it isn't up to the job. But from what I've played of them they are fantastic games. Isn't Counter Strike the game played most online? |

i used to play CS 1.5  back in old school days, but havent been able to get my hands on source or 1.6 for that matter. the version i had was kinda bootlegged too so cd-key isnt really valid for me to activate a steam account.
fav prime guns: awp, ak, m4, mp5 fav secondary: deagle, elites, glock

Counter Strike is alright. I bought it and got really bored of it, then traded it for Final Fantasy Chronicles. |

I bought it and got really bored of it, then traded it for Final Fantasy Chronicles. did you happen to notice that counter-strike multiplayer hosts practically everyone who owns a pc? why would you trade one of the best games of all time (the half life engine is next in line to God for the best thing that happened to man) for final fantasy: a game with "final" in its title but practically never ends with its slew of sequels that are all just spiffed up over-sexed versions of its predecessors?? |

Half-Life 2 : Aftermatch is coming out this summer !!! Thank 2 HDR, the recommended requirments are: 3.2 GHz 1 Gb RAM High Dynamic Video card (only newest moddels od ATI an Nvidia have it) Thank the gods, you can turn off HDR in the Aftermatch option screen. So the rec. requirments will be the same as Half-Life 2: 2.4 Ghz 512 Mb RAM graphic card that supports DirectX 9 (128 Mb) |

ye thats the only thing stopping me from buying hf2 (well the system reqs and the steep price tag) and just sticking to good ol' cs 1.6 and hf world. unfortunately i only have a 1gHz processor, 256 mb ram and a 64mb nvidia geforce4 mx 440 se agp card. |

well....HL2 minimum req aren't that high ! Specially not for grapic card (minimum = DirectX 7 support) If you had 1.2 Ghz, it would work on your PC.... But "half-life generation" (HL1 + all expentions) is great too !!!! |
