That movie was so scary, and the flash backs gave me the shivers. It made me cry when he was in a flashback and caught that grasshopper. (You had to see it to understand it)

The movie is actually called "Ray", not "Ray Charles". And yes, it really is a wonderful movie. Jamie Foxx truly deserved his Oscar.

I watched it last night, but my parents sent me out when he was having drug withdrawal. I almost got nightmares.

That's absolutely ridiculous. How old are you? It's rated PG-13! You have every right to watch it! Your parents really shouldn't have sent you out.

I watched it. It was a very touching movie, and in fact after that I went out and got some Ray Charles music to listen to.

I'm 13, but it was the physical drug withdrawals, I heard it and it sounded pretty messy.

Yeah, Jamie Foxx definately deserved his Oscar. I've never seen anyone capture a person's mannerisms so well. What shocked me was that Ray Charles actually approved of the movie, seeing as it certainly did not capture him in a very...positive manner.

I actually think it did. Sure, there was that whole heroin thing... But I think that overall, it captured his strength. He didn't only win his struggle in the music industry due to his handicap, but he also won his battle with drugs... I think the music did a great job of showing Ray Charles for who he was. And the fact that Ray DID approve of the movie further shows his strength, in that that he accepts his rough past, and accepts the mistakes he made. It's SUCH a shame he passed away...
