Snow Patrol would be classed as rock/pop

Honestly, why does the poll not include Dance? I mean, u could have taken Classical away. Dance Is my Fave genre anyway.

I'll listen to just about any genre of music, as long as whoever's singing it doesn't have a really bad reputation and as long as the song doesn't sound freaking retarded.

My favorites, though, would probably be rock, alternative, all forms of metal, and a handful of powerpop songs. :/

As do I. But I don't like songs that have a curse word every other word and songs that are super slow and emotional. I pretty much have a large blend of different songs on my iPod. I like the radio stations that play all kinds of music.

I don't like to divide music like I LIEK TEH RAPS NOTHIN ELSE LOL. I like what I like. I like pieces of music with soul behind them. Whatever genre that might be, that's cool. Whether it be fusion, new wave of British heavy metal, country, rap, or soul, it doesn't matter to me.

I like rock, jazz and metal, but hate most of these "new" bands, the only one I listen to is MCR. I hate country, and I dislike rap and all of that noise.

I like rock, metal, punk, alternative and a little pop (if it´s really good). I have yet to hear a pure hip-hop/R ´n B (god knows how you spell it)/rap song that I like. To be frank, I´m not really interested in trying. While I wouldn´t say that I´m an avid classical/jazz fan, I don´t mind listening to the occasional song - I was dragged along to classical music concerts as a kid, up until today, so I gained an appreciation for it. I know enough about it to say that calling it "classical" is a bit of a mistake - like calling all metal "heavy", for that matter.

I mostly choose what I listen to based on whether I like the song and the lyrics of the band in question. That´s why I listen to some bands generally considered crap based on their image, i.e. Marilyn Manson, Green Day. To be frank, I couldn´t care less what genre they believe they´re in, or whether they´re protesting the US government. If they sound good, I´ll listen to it.

Meh, I dislike MCR because their songs just sound... Satanic. Yeah, yeah, yeah I'm sure you've read the lyrics and they aren't dark or whatever but if they sound dark and satanic to me I'm not listening. And I agree most of these "new" Myspace bands that are getting their "big break" really suck.

I really enjoy classic rock like Rush, The Who, and Queen, and some heavier rock bands like AC/DC and Guns N' Roses.

Those are probably my top 5 favorite bands of any genre, by the way. :p
