I didn't see this thread anywhere, so I decided to post it.

Basically, I all you do is post which song you are currently listening to.

I don't know if this is considered a spam thread or not, but the other forum I post at has it and it's got well over 1000 replies. It's just interesting to see what you listen to.

Right now, I'm listening to:

The Prodigy - Wake Up Call

And Skull, this may not go well with the Mods. I'm good with it though. (Just because a lot of answers could be "nothing" which culd accumulate into SPAM.

We never had that in the thread at the other forum I post at. It was kind of an unwritten rule. People pretty much knew that posting "nothing" would be spam. Let's just hope no one here decides to do that.

By the way, The Wall = one of the best albums ever. Did you by chance ever see the movie? I got the 25th anniversary DVD. That movie is just crazy!

My respect for my mother forbids me to watch it. :?

EDIT: She just saw this as she came home. Apparently, she wants to see it first. I think she just wants to see it for herself.

I think this thread could be valid so long as:
a) People don't post constant updates. One every 3 or 4 days is more than enough. Perhaps once a week.
b) We use this thread, like it already is being used, for discussion as well.

The Wall rocks. I haven't seen all of it, but I really want to. I DID make sure I saw Another Brick Part 2's scene. That was great.

As for what I'm currently playing, "Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me" by the late Warren Zevon, and it's a live performance. It's about 9:30, and begins with a jam version of Waltzing Matilda. The entire song is Warren signing and playing a 12-string. I can't hear any other instruments besides the 12-string, nor any backup guitars. A very impressive performance.

Right this second, it's "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" by our beloved Beatles. Earlier I was listening to Zeppelin and later I'll probably listen to Alter Bridge . . . yeah.

I think that was one of the best, and strangest scenes. I also liked the scene that played "Goodbye Blue Sky". That part of the movie always stuck out in my mind. That, and "Comfortably Numb".

As a matter of fact, I'm listening to "Goodbye Blue Sky" right now.

It's near impossible to describe the movie because it doesn't seem to follow together. My sister told me though that the person that made it, experienced and saw everything that's in that movie in his head while he was tripping on acid.

That's basically all I know.

Right now I'm listening to the second CD of "How The West Was Won" by Led Zeppelin. It's a three-CD set of two live performances they had in Los Angeles. To be specific, right now I'm listening to the epic 25-minute-long "Dazed and Confused". It's so freaking AWESOME... I mean, these musicians are so clearly at the top of their act... Especially Jimmy Page, he's the ultimate God of the Guitar. I'm actually listening with earphones - it's quite late, and my parents are sleeping, so I gotta keep quiet. In fact, I usually prefer to listen to my 20 GB Mp3 Player (it's an iRiver model), plugged in to the electricity, of course. That way, I have easy access to ALL my CDs (You can fit a LOT in 20 GB - I've got practically every CD I've ever listened to on it, and I'm only using 3 GB!), and the computer's performance doesn't affect the music (when the computer runs too many things, the music doesn't play smoothly).
In one of the cars, we have this great CD titled "Riding With the King", a duet CD by BB King and Eric Clapton. It's quite heavenly - two master and veteran guitarists (the CD is quite new, from 2000 I believe), playing good old-fashioned blues... All you could ask for, really.

Pretty funny story with that band: they took three types of music I hate (modern punk, emo, hardcore) and mixed them all together. And I love it.
