The trailer looks good, the sequel is set, and Barbosa is back. So come on, who reckons this one's going to be the best one yet?

Definetely have to see. I waited in line for 2 hours for the 2nd one on opening night, first in line ftw :lol:. I'm going to see it on opening night for sure! :)

ZOMG. PotC is awesome, and this looks more awesome than both the last ones put together! What I find odd is that one bit of it seems to show Davy Jones and the British Navy dude as allies. Eh???

Barbossa = nearly the name of the first Holy Roman Emperor. Heh, an official goldenquagsire History lesson!

If I remember correctly (haven't seen #2 in a while) that one British guy gave the heart to his commander. Maybe they are blackmailing Davy Jones into working for them, threatening to stab the heart if he goes against their will? Just a guess.

I saw the movie, and I was very confused, they tried to force comedy, which is stupid and never works. Also, they made Jack Sparrow crazy. Not cool. The plot was confusing, and Kalypso turning into a giant reminded me of King-Kong/Giant Pokemon battles. Then she turned into crabs. What gives?

Well all I know is I want to see that movie when I get paid because the first one was excellent. I really didn't like PotC till I saw the second one with the scary Flying Dutchman and it's crew. Disney really did good with that movie, I hope the third is just as good or hopefully better.

Well, there were portions of the movie that were really good, and there were parts of the movie that were... really weird. Firstly, there were characters which came back to life out of NOWHERE and alive and well, and secondly, the movie was far too long (surprise surprise!), and it ran for even longer than the second movie, which is some achievement! It depends what kinda person you are, really, but I myself am not a long movie watcher, especially at the pictures, cos I ran out to pee c. 5 times!! Maybe that's just saying something about my liquid consumption rates, or even my bladder issues, but all that aside it actually was too long. I don't really remember how they could've cut things down, because I saw it on the release date and I can't seem to remember anything because... well it's not that memorable, bar the "final showdown" between Davey and Jack, because that was just so awesome.

I really have no idea what was with the "musical" at the start, if someone could enlighten me on the purpose of that it would be brilliant. Depp (Sparrow) I thought was awesome, but I really thought Rush (Barbossa) outshone him. Bloom (Turner) and Knightley (Swan) also gave awesome performances, yet still all this was not enough to save the film from a strange and confusing plot. I suppose I would recommend to people to see it for the sake of seeing it, but don't be prepared to be blown away or anything. I remember last time I saw Two, I said there was no plot but it would set up Three to be a great movie, but it turns out they gave Three too much of a plot. Weird huh.

I loved the first one, the 2nd in my opinion was HORRIBLE, but the third turned out alright but it was far from anyhting special.

The words go: The king and his men took the queen from her bed
and bound her to her bones
the sea is ours and with our power
where e're we want we'll row
yo ho haul together
hoist the colors now
heave ho, thieves and beggers
never shall we die

The song is the call for the pirate lord counsel, like the one where they bound calipso to her bones, hence the song. calipso is the queen of the sea, and when the pirates bound her in mortal form, they had control of the seas, and never had to get on her nice side.

The first scene was very necessary. it showed what has happened since Becket came into power, and how the way of the pirate is on its way to extinction. IT showed the gravity of it all, and that it was necessary to fight becket to free the seas again.
