I don't know about it being funny, ironic maybe. I noticed the way he dies is the same way he dies 17 years ago too, kind of interesting no?

Why did hermione name her son after slughorn? The teacher's name is hugo slughorn right?

Nope. It's Horace Slughorn. But what I would have found incredibly amusing is right at the end, Harry kills Voldemort and then dies of a peanut allergy or something.

I've got a quick question about the HP universe: How exactly did Peter Pettigrew betray Harry's parents? I know the Potters were in hiding but did Pettigrew give away their position to Voldemort or what? I'm askin cuz they were showing "Azkaban" on Family and they mentioned it but I forgot what happend.

Yep that's it.
As for watching the movies you really shouldn't unless you've read the book first I mean the death of Sirius wouldn't have been much of an impact if you hadn't read the book 'cause there's little to nothing in the ways of a relationship between Potter and Black I don't even recall him being mentioned in the fourth movie.

The Movies are okay it's just they fail in comparision to the books.
I dread to think how they'll mangle the next movies I mean they cut the big talk between Dubledore and Harry at the end of book 5 down to a few lines for crying out loud.
Plus I don't think the actor that plays Potter suits the role in books 6 and 7.

Well thats my two cent.

Well thanks for answering my question. I don't use the movies for any of the references or background. I've read all the books but that part of the story popped into my head while watching the movie. And I didn't wanna go fishing through the series. Thanks again.

Just finished it. What I want to know is...

1) How Draco was the master of the Elder Wand. Is it because he was supposed to kill Dumbledore?

2) When Harry 'died' and talked to Dumbledore, what was the thing that kept yelling and Dumbledore said 'You cannot help it'?

The first thing I did after putting down the book was cried for everyone who died... :cry: then I read the epiglouge again and felt a little better. I've been a true Potter fan since the first book, and I have to say that this is one of the most captivating series I have ever read. I'm hoping that J.K will expand a little on the 2nd generation, 'cause they intrigue me... Oh yeah, here's a little chart-thing I made of the kiddies

Not sure how you can say that, look at my reasoning:

Voldemort has divisions of his soul.

Harry has powers that rival Voldey's and can see through his eyes and such.

Thus, Harry must be a division of Voldey's soul (horcrux)

Therefore, Harry must kill himself in order to kill voldey. Tis the only way, then Ron and Hermione will give birth to ginger, clever children. Bet you my DS Lite and Wii.


You were one smart know-it-all. tis exactly what happened, but harry did not actually die, he just let voldy kill him, but voldy's soul got the worst of it.

draco was master of the elder wand because it was he who disarmed dumbledore, thus taking the wand for himself. the wand recognized this and transferred its allegiance to draco.

that was voldemort, as he would become, or most likely, the part of voldemort that was in harry, which let harry see what voldemort would become.

Actually it's Albus Severus Potter. Harry said he named him after the two bravest Hogwarts headmasters he'd known.

Aaaaaanyway, I liked the book, read it in twelve hours, but it was very fun and kept you guessing. There was actually a discussion thread on a site I go on called DAB about the book... Needless to say yours truely got involved.

And out of all three of Harry's children, he's the only one to have a mentioned middle name, so I always use it when I mention him.
