Probably been asked, but I can't find the topic. What music is popular in your school? Specific groups, types, you know. In my school, its Arabic and Rap. Don't ask why. 4,000 students, mostly from the projects. BTW, i'm in Brooklyn Tech, NYC |

Pop (Rihanna, Fergie, Paris Hilton), Bad Alternative (The Fray, All-American Rejects), Fake Emo (PANIC! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romace), and Rap (No idea). BLEHHHHHHH But there are a sacred few people WHO LISTEN TO GOOD MUSIC like A Metal/Real Emo/Alternative person, Me, and one if the teachers who publicly addresses the similarities in our music tastes. |

At my school they all like Lincoln Park, System, and Red Flightsuit Apparatus. The girls like Kelly clarkson's music. I prefer Classical music though. |

Since most people don't tell, the majority of people who do, play it on their phones which is usually one of these: -Lady Sovereign -Chipmunk Voice Club Anthems -Charts Hits -It's Spittin'! (Peter Kay) ...or just plain annoying noises. ;o West Midlands, England, UK. |

Fergilicious. If I hear one more fourteen year old boy sing that song, I think I might just shoot someone. Everyone at my school sings that song. For some reason, Mad World is also really big right now. Other than that, my school's really diverse when it comes to music. |

Some of the guys who think that they're real bad a***s listen to rap, but mostly everyone listens to stuff like BEP, Nelly Furtado etc. And thank goodness for that. :roll: |

Emo/screamo/hardcore crap And then of course there's the gangstas with their hip-hop and rap. And then there's the outcast type people (my friends  ) who like mostly rock, and bands like Pink Floyd.
Not enough people like classic rock like The Beatles and Rolling Stones

Probably, metal and rock. Followed closely after by Classical Rock and Classical (I think. I'm not sure about it, but I hope so). Hardly anyone listens to rap. Teh Garbage. I love my school. |

*snip* It's basically the same thing here (Jersey), but there's more rap because people think they're from the streets. There's about 5% of my school who actually listens to good music like metal and whatnot. And I'm basically the only one in the whole damn town who listens to Dir en grey almost 24/7. |
