Post subject:  Need the names of the other two trainers from Pallet Town.
I'm doing a fanfic right now and I need to know the names of the other two trainers who left when Gary and Ash did.

Does anyone know their names?

Also, not as important, which one picked which pokemon (I know Gary took squirtle)?

Maybe that guy that abandoned his Charmander was one of them.I dunno why but I got the impresion that Ash knew him before he saw him at the poke-center.I think his name was Damien.

Whether he be the guy or not,I remember professor Oak saying (somewhere before the Indigo league) that the kids that took the Charmander and Bulbasaur weren't doing to good in their quests (they failed to get enough badges) or something.

Uh, guys? If my memory serves me correct, which it usually does, in episode 4, titled "The Challenge of the Samurai", it shows a flashback of the samurai defeating the Bulbasaur trainer and Charmander trainer. From what I remember, they quit their journey. :shock: And yes, Gary got his Squirtle from Oak. Brock says so in episode 271 "The Ties Bind". I may be a little rusty on the ole anime, though. :wink:

I checked the pictures in Samurai's flashback when he compares the other three Pallet Town trainers to Ash. Charmander is shown blowing fire on Samurai's Pinsir, Bulbasaur is tying Pinsir up with Vine Whip, and Squirtle (later revealed to be Gary's) is using Bubble on Metapod. Upon rechecking the dialogue, Samurai says he was defeated by all three but that Ash, compared to the others, was a joke.

We never see the other two trainers from Pallet Town or learn their names. I also don't think Damien could have possibly been from Pallet Town because 1) Professor Oak probably wouldn't have given him Charmander because of his attitude and 2) Ash probably would have recognized Damien as from his hometown. When Ash/Gary come back to Pallet before the Indigo League, Oak says the other two trainers quit their journies, and that's the last we've heard of them.

i think that they dont tell you the names on purpose so that way you can have fun figuring it out and debating wheather or not it was damian or not (which i doubt), I have no idea who they would be so u might as well just make up names for you fanfic and have fun with that.
