Though I no longer collect pokemon cards, I still have some of my older ones laying around.
I think this would qualify as my rarest card.
I also have an old Promo mew card, and the golden edged meowth card.

The dual typing add nothing to rarity, its just a different variant of a pokemon. It was added to the game to create more in the ways of strategy and what not. Its just a normal card that just happens to have two types. Not to say its not rare, it could be very rare. But it would be for a different reason. |

My rarest card would be a tie between my 3 EX's (Mew, T-Tar, and Feralagtr) amd my Shiny Lotad from Platinum Base Set. |

Wailord EX would be my rarest card, if my friend who gave me all her cards hadn't had it stolen from her. Can someone look up the rarity of a Wailord EX, 200 HP and an attack (I forget what) that does around 100 damage. Thanks. |

Talking to my dad last night and he told me he found my complete set of gold plated cards from BK when they were passing them out when the first movie was in theaters. Also Khoufu a card is only worth how much people are willing to pay for it, but this one site I found lists it at 59-69 bucks. |

I used to have a shining Raikou (sold it for $35), but I do have 10 to 15 ex cards, no level ex's, but pretty much every holo from Fossil, Jungle and Base Set. |

cant say for sure. 3 contenders i can think of. A holo jap lugia (not sure of set, two stars, one on top of the other. the atk is rainbow blast i think), a promo meowth still in packaging ( believed to be from tcg gb game0, and a dark charizard i have somewhere. im excluding movie cards by the way |

I just found 2 Ex's in my card box, Salamence and Flygon. Salamence is more powerful with 160 hp and an attack that does 150. But Flygon has a good Poke-Body. |

When i was 8 (9 years ago. i know im a geezer) i collected cards from the original set. Between me and my two brothers, we had like 2 or 3 of every card of the original set, except for charizard. I had the original first edition charizard and my brother had the second edition he got out of a pack. I also had like all of the johto set, including 1st edit. lugia. Well, rarest would be charizard and lugia, about $80 and $40 dollars new, respectively, unless you get them out of a pack! lol, i bought charizard tho. And original holo chansey was pretty good, and some dark ones but i forget. Lugia is like lvl 45 and knows elemental beam i believe, and charizard is 76 and knows firee spin and that really good ability. He looks so dang cool too. He's my favorite pokemon. Anyways, i loved those cards but i gave them to my cousin who sold them for like $5, which was like 1000 pokemon cards and about $1000 worth of yugioh cards lol. I still have charizard, venasaur, and blastoise orginal holos and lugia too, though! |

My only rare pokemon card is meowth. I got it from a vending machine when we visited Japan. I heard that there's a vending machine in Brazil wherein you will get pokemon miniature characters. |

Probably my shiny Alakazam? (aka alakazam star) I get just about all of my cards in the store, Target mainly. Rarest one I've ever gotten out of a booster pack, and one of my favorites, too, next to my Ho-Oh and Ho-Oh EX. My shiny alakazam had a 1-psy energy move that takes a card out of the discard pile. Its other move requires 2-psy energy and another. It does the attack of one Pokémon card in your hand, as long as it has the required energy. Then you discard the card. I do this with my promo Mewtwo lv. X, with Giga Burn that does 120 damage (not my strongest but it's faster than attaching 8 different energies to my Ho-Ohs) And since it says "discard all psy energy attached to Mewtwo lv. X" I assume I don't have to remove them from Alakazam. My friends say my deck is a troll. I think it is. EDIT: My Ho-Oh EX, Mewtwo lv. X, and Alakazam star are each both worth about 7-15 dollars. |
