Thanks Galar. You've done a very nice job on your list, though I have some suggestions/corrections:

-Pinsir is a stag beetle. This is also Pinsir's species. Speaking of which, Volbeat and Illumise are both listed as 'fireflies' for their species in the video game's Pokedex.

I looked them up in the dictionary and I agree, they are very close. Wailmer and Wailord are...what? Blue whales, Beluga, or Humpback? I think they are Blue. But they should definitely add an Orca/Killer whale! ^_^

I can't believe no one has mentioned that looks like an otter. I mean, just look at it. The long tail and cute short ears. And it's a water type! As for , I'm thinking the creators were desperate for more pokemon and simply slapped a shell on its tail. But notice how it still stands upright...just like an otter! Muaha! XP

Rapidash is a unicorn. Torkoal is a proper turtle. Psyduck is a platypus. Raikou is a sabertooth tiger. I can't agree on Slowpoke being an otter simply because it is kinda tubby while otters are slender. They remind me of hippos because of the teeth and the way their bodies look..until you reach the tail...so i dunno. I'd like to see: - a Tomato pokemon - a ghost/fighting type of some sort(it would be a humanshape pokemon) - a hydra
