I dont know about you guys, but to me, James seems like a good person. Its just that jesse and
push him into things. he cares about his pokemon alot, it doesnt seem that he is bad, what do you guys think?

Maybe all of Team Rocket are just being evil because their preocupation is like an outlet for rage.They probably have some isues but I don`t think they are evil.The only person thats probably evil is the founder of TR(Giovanni`s mom I think) and maybe Giovanni but he just follows after his mom. |

if i rememner from watching the shows(which was like 3-4 years ago) James was rich and was being forced into marrige or somthing so he ran away with Jesse. (i could be wrong though havent watched the shows in a while) So nope he not really evil just joined TR to get away from marrige. |

I don't really think he's "that" evil, and most of what he does is Jesse pushing him. Honestly, if Jesse left, I think he'd stop his dirty work because he doesn't have the brain compacity to take it on his own. |

Yeah i agree with swellow luvr. he loves {weepingbell} and cared alot for his  and {victorybell} . Now he cares alot about his  alot . I sorta feel sorry for him.

none of TRs really evil, well, not the TRtrio anyways, Madam Boss I beleive was evil, same with giovanni, and a lot of the more elite rockets, Jessie loved her pokemon too, I remember when they got rid of arbok and weezing, and when jesssie accidentally traded her licktung, so sad. Alot of TR is evil though. And not from the anime, but for the games, remember poor little cubone of lavender? |

I think really James is a poor guy because he just helps his boss to get happy. He isn't evil. Also, he joined Team Rocket as firefpowell4 said, he wanted to get away from marriage. I think that was a bad choise because he keeps messing up Team Rocket's plans. Darn that annoying Meowth! |

None of them are actually evil, they're just trying to be evil. James is the silly, perhaps gender-confused sweety who'd do better running from bad guys than being one of the bad guys. Someday, maybe he'll leave Team Rocket and make a career out of dressing as Moltres ;) |

There's been nothing in the anime to support that Jesse and James are truly evil people when things come right down to it, other than the occasional plot devices that have Jesse/James acting oddly heartless, and thus out of character, about Pokemon. In the earlier episodes, Jesse/James were feared criminals, apparently, but the most ruthless thing they ever did on screen was opening missile fire at the Dragonite at Bill's Lighthouse, and James was clearly uncomfortable with doing even that. Regardless, they've performed heroic deeds to redeem themselves 1) in almost every Pokemon movie, 2) anytime Butch and Cassidy were featured and/or 3) anytime there was a serious threat to Ash or themselves. You can tell that Jesse and James are beyond the one-dimensional characters that the main heroes tend to be stuck with, and they're definitely more complex than most villianous characters in cartoons. In fact, while we know virtually nothing about Ash or Brock's lives despite watching them for eight years, Jesse/James have received the most character development of any main characters on the show. Whereas a lot of Team Rocket agents are truly greedy, heartless, ruthless, etc., Jesse/James sort of fell into Team Rocket after their lives had one failure after another. Jesse spent her childhood in poverty, her mother died as a Rocket agent tracking Mew, she spent her youth in and out of homes, she failed Pokemon Tech, etc., and she was led to Team Rocket as a result. James, meanwhile, was insanely wealthy, but kept from independence by his parents and fianc |

im agreeing wityh everybody, no way hes evil also meowth isnt evil either, it seems that jesse is the most coldhearted of the group but even she has her good moments, part of the reason i always pull for them (which inevitably leave me disappointed me EVERY time) |
