my first card was a Charmander Base edition from a friend who had almost every card. My favorite cad was the holo Entei they gave out at the movie.

mine was a {zapdos} lucky me but then my mum acciedentley put my pants in the wash and my {zapdos} was in there lol 1st edition aswell oh well i dont collect them anymore i stopped at the rockets lol

Mine was an Alakazam (we're going back to the Base Set guys - yup, I've been collecting that long.)

Everyone told me it was the rarest card as we all thought the number in the bottom corner was how rare it was. So we read it as 1 in 112 or how ever many cards there were back then. I traded it for a Magmar fossil set, because he was my fave Pokemon back then. :oops:

But I got another one!

base set onix! my mom didn't let me buy cards back then and i amassed 300 cards by trading 1 card for 2, people taking charity upon me etc. (i know have over 3000 cards :lol: )

My first card was a base set Nidoran [M]. Soon after I joined a league before I even knew the rules. I went in with a ten card deck compiled of Mewtwo, Electrode, Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Vileplume, Venusaur, and I'm pretty sure that I also had Hitmonchan, Poliwrath, and either a Pikachu or a Raichu.

Every Christmas and birthday for the next four to six years, I got about ten to fifteen packs and a deck, and now I get maybe two packs per Christmas, and no other cards otherwise. Through third and fourth grade, the cards were used by my parents as a way of motivation to do homework, and I would also buy the occasional pack or two. Through those methods, I have compiled a collection of nearly five thousand cards, which I am now trying to sell on eBay.

I bought the Grass and Water base starter deck when I was very young. I can't remember the first card I saw, but I still remember the Base set Gyarados very well.

I can't remember my exact first card, though I do remember that my first two booster packs included a Computer Search and a holographic Mewtwo. I pulled Mewtwo in the first pack and Computer Search in the second.
