Definatly the Pikachu's goodbye, the music dosen't help, or Ash's sobbing either.

many pokemon episodes have have me shed at least half a tear, but I cant exactly remember which. Theonly one that comes up is The 1st movie when all the clones/real pokemon were sheding tears for stoned Ash.

I would have to say either the one where they all went their seperate ways just before the hoenn season, or pikachu's goodbye, i agree with blaze about pikachu's goodbye, the music and ash's sobbing does not help, i would have to say that the one where theiy go their separate ways is the saddest.

Butterfrees die after they mate. That was changed in the US version of the show.

I never cry for any movie/tv show. But Bye Bye Butterfree was sad..

The episode when Ash leaves Charizard in the valley was pretty sad as well, especially the last few minutes when Ash runs away, head down and crying.

I sadly watched the episode of the.... I don't know the exact name for it.

The Butterfree episode. I always have a tear come down my cheek during that one

3rd movie when their trying to break through unknowns shield. Probably noone agrees but come on. Its self sacrafice for crying out loud

Hang on changed my mind. It has to be the episode where max helps a ralts to a pkmn centre. I was literally about to cry. Then it ended :roll:

Pokemon the First Movie. Like laughing, seeing other people cry makes me cry, and pokemon are no exception.

A better question to ask me would be 'which episodes of Pokemon HAVEN'T made you cry?'
I'm serious, so many episodes have made me cry, its not funny.

Off the top of my head- Pikachu's Goodbye, Bye Bye Butterfree, Snow Way Out, Ignorance is Blissey, Charizard Chills, Little Big Horn, the one with Meowth's backstory and Do I hear a Ralts?

Honestly, those cute critters don't half make me cry sometimes. I'm sure I'd cry at the first movie too (yes, even now I still haven't seen it!)

Butterfree doesn't die. They wouldn't show or tell that in a kids Anime.

According to the 'changed episodes' list on Psypoke, in the original version of the episode, it is said that when Butterfree go off to mate, they never return because they die afterwards. That's why Ash cries so much at the end.

Of course, 4Kids couldn't let the Pokemon *DIE* so they changed it so Butterfree just won't come back.

It's a sad episode which ever way you look at it.

I have that episode on video. Nowadays I laugh at it sometimes. I thought Go West Young Meowth was sad, watching those evil people tie up a little Meowth...I also have that for gameboy advance video.
