When I saw Arceus and the Jewel of Life, I noticed something. I think Marcus might be the only Pokemon character in the series that dies and STAYS dead. They do not give us any other hint on if he survived or not. All they show is his crown lying on the broken ground.

That's actually very surprising for Pokemon.

No, not even close. Spoilers for the latest Japanese episodes and several movies listed below:

    * In the first movie, Mewtwo kills his creators. All of the scientists in that laboratory die.

    * In the fifth movie, Latios dies.

    * In the eighth movie, Sir Aaron is already dead and Lucario dies.

    * In the Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon special, Professor Yung dies.

    * In one of the Johto filler episodes, a Ninetales explains how its Trainer and several of its caretakers have passed away.

    * In the latest Japanese episode, J and her henchmen presumably die when their submarine explodes with them inside.

Marowak dies in RBY. Also, Latios dying in movie 5 was probably one of the saddest moments in Pokemon that I've seen and even though I haven't seen the new Pokemon movies (nor do I intend to), I doubt they're more sad than that moment. I cried. Alot. :(

So I'm watching Pokemon Galactic Battles, Episode The Needs of the Three
and Hunter J gets sucked in to like a void, and his/her (never knew) ship-thing blew up. Like spontaneously combusted! Did he/she die?

PS His/her {salamence} is cool

I hope i'm not necromancing, but....

What about Cyrus who jumps into the strange dimension thing as it fades away? It apparently disapears from existance so would Cyrus technically die along with it?
