In my Language Arts class, we were required to read Animal Farm by George Orwell and THe Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck. After reading these we need to do a project on something that oppresses or is oppressed. To my opinion, to oppress means to rule or abuse in an inhumane manner.
So, two questions:
1) Is that a good definition?
2) My topic is, well, Pokemon. My ideas for M-rated games played by kids and McDonalds were already taken. Is Pokemon oppressed to your opinion?

Not exactly. I mean, is the entire franchise of Pokemon in the physical world abused/oppressed?

In my opinion, the only way Pokemon is oppressed is by certain retail stores that refuse to sell the games. And by stupid moms and dads who, without first gettin ANY information on the subject, refuse to allow their children to play the games or watch the show because it is satan. (Yeah right!!! )
