umm, idk, go into the store and find a poster that says that they'll be giving away the regigigasses?
thats what happened at GameStop when they agve away the Darkrais.

They also say it on the pokemon and pokemon platinum websites every time. This site's home page announcements is also pretty good at mentioning pokemon events and who's participating.
