why don't you think they did not make a pokemon evolve more than 4 times?

Well it would be too much. I think evolution in the game relates to age in the life of creatures.....
The first stage is baby one, this is the group of pokemon that are young and keep that appearance.
Second would be the teenage stage. While Pokemon in this group are not fully developed they are not under developed.
The last part in evolution for Pokemon is the adult stage. Here they are done growing and have reached maturity.
Some Pokemon evolutions skip the teenage stage and go to adulthood. Those without evolutions are the ones that can't really grow any more than how they are now.
Side Note: Yay me! 500 posts, I'm now a Pokemon Professor!

I think four is a little much. Groudon King's post makes perfect sense to me. They aren't just going to add another stage because they can think of one.

If there is a fourth stage, that would be the elderly stage.

Well elderly is really the adult stage, just father out. But an elderly stage wouldn't look so good. Could you ever think of an elderly form of a Pokemon and say, "It Works!"?

Elderly Pikachu --> Splinter?
Gains fighting type, has a bonus to attack if at least four other team members are Squirtles.

Someone I know made a joke about a Splinter Cell Pikachu; are you him?
On topic, I believe that a fourth stage to a Pokemon would be superfluous and not all that necessary. I mean, how are you going to build on a Machamp? Most likely answer: You aren't.

Supossedly, Legendaries are the 4th evo...like a perfect form. Togekiss is supposed to evolve into lugia.

More an obscure Ninja Turtles joke in my case. I'm no "he", either.

Where's that? I haven't seen much of the anime or movies; I assume it's not an in-game assertion.

I believe someone who watches the cartoons told me a while back, and also I think it alludes to it in the canaclave library. I don't watch the cartoons. If you look at Togekiss, it kinda does look like an under-developed Lugia.

@ Nida: Oh well; it was a longshot I was willing to take.
@ Kol: Which book is this, and on what floor? The thought of Pokemon evolving into Lugia is creepy. Almost as bad as that anime episode with a "baby Lugia" in it. After Pokemon 2000 they would have thought otherwise, but still wtf babies?

I can't remember...I can't even remember if i read it in PD...But you got to admit, Lugia looks like the next refinement of the togepi family.

Sounds like he was just pulling your leg. The only notable characteristics that the two share are the three points on their heads and the fact that they are both primarily white with some blue. Barring those...they don't even look anything alike.

Well, what else do you need? They also both fly, and are both soothing. To skew your point; Togepi and togekiss have less in common than Lugia and Togekiss.

Togepi and Togekiss have quite a lot in common as they're from the same family. As for Lugia and Togekiss? That doesn't even come close to being a longshot.

A fourth evo is pointless. Clearly as GK explained the three-stage is like life (excluding mid-life crisis ). Also, there is already an egg stage if you count that at all.
Egg ------> Child ------> Teen -----> Adult
or
Egg ------> Child ----> Adult
Going by this, the poke would look weird if it had a fourth stage. An old, wrinkly Pikachu, U Judge.

Togekiss looks more like Lati@s than Lugia.
Also, Machamp evo gets more arms.

I think it would be going too far. I mean, 4th forms? Hmm,they should make some like that, but not much....
