yes that would be kind of good beacuse you could get all the stats and moves and go back to being lower level and getting more stats.

I see little point to that. You could just leave Ekans as an Ekans and just not evolve it instead. And even so, how would devolving happen? It wouldn't be like leveling up. And after it devolves, would it evolve the same way again or would B-Button/Everstone have to be used?

I agree with DNA. I mean, it would be kinda hard to implement that. Plus, it doesn't make sense to train your pokemon to be weak.

sounds like Digimon, where the monsters devolved after each battle...unusual because they would evolve, then devolve, losing their extra power.

Why would you want it to devolve though? Evolved pokemon have better stats

What about the Eeveevolutions?

If you don't want a Flareon, then you can revert back to an Eevee, then you can evolve it again. Apart from that, devolvetion is bad

This is an EXCELLENT idea. And how hard would it be?
New item = De-evolution spray. It would be great for inherited moves that you forgot to teach, such as nasty plot on an infernape.

If you intend to introduce devolution as a method to improve the stats of your Pokemon, then it's not feasible. In Digimon, this was possible as each Digimon does not have any fixed stats. However, each Pokemon has a maximum value for each stat, affected by values such as DVs and EVs.

However, if you want devolution for other purposes such as getting to learn old moves which you want to teach your Pokemon, I think it's a decent idea.

It would be a great idea !! You will be able to add to your Pokédex unobtainable Pokémon by disevolving them.
