yeah, but the problem was that it was the rarest card in the entire tcg universe back then. they now have a remake in fr/lg packs, but it uses up more energy (the attack requires 4 fire i think, and then you have to discard all of them), which is a problem for any deck.

the card did need 4 fire energy, but u only had to discard TWO of them. the energy burn ability also allowed u to turn any kind of energy into fire energy. slap down two double colorless and u just dealt 100 damage. slap on another double colorless for another 100. lather, rinse, repeat till u run out of colorless and slap on energy like mad. still 100 damage every other turn aint so bad. 120 hp was practically unstoppable anyway.

with one hit it can take any base card out o faction(however i tonly hits 50% o fthe time)

i actually liked the promo {mew} with deevolution beam. it was an easy way of destroying base set {gyarados}. deal only 30 damage to {gyarados}, use deevolution beam on it to turn it back into a flimsy {magikarp} which only has 30HP and it automatically dies. pure subtlety....just the way i like it. 8)

AHAHAHAHA! Ive got a Defense Deoxys, with 2 energy for 20 damage and 30 less damage done to him on this turn!

Still, my favourite common cards are Bill and Sandstorm EX Marill. The first one gives two free cards and Marill has 75% Paralysis rate! Yeah.
