Even though Zapdos' typing gets him around Earthquake, it opens him up to ever-popular Ice Beams, Stone Edges and, of course, Stealth Rock; a rather unappealing trade off if you ask me. But I really hate the fact that Zapdos' movepool is so lacking. For a ledgendary pokemon, he's quite limited in what he can do at an offensive level.

I used Zapdos a lot back in RBYGSC, because the Electric types present didn't really appeal to me. I'm fond of dual-type Pokemon, and Zapdos fulfilled that criteria, whereas there were few others. Magneton yes, but the Steel type wasn't really represented by its movepool.

ScarfSpout is one of the most popular Wailord set. Wailord being the second of Spout users, should In my opinion utilize this. Just like min version of ScarfOgre.

Belatedly, I love Wailord. I have a thing for goofy looking Pokemon, and Wailmer and its evolution definitely falls in that category. I used a moveset of Ice Beam, Surf, Earthquake and Rest in-game. It's a real long lasting set due to Rest, and Earthquake means that I can have fun using it against Electric types. It's merely an in-game set though, so don't use that competitively =p

As for Jirachi, I would use it often... except that I don't have one x)
Alright, back on a serious note, Psychics are always welcome, since they're just pretty powerful in general. Steel gives it some nice resistances as well, and add to that a decent movepool, Jirachi does seem like it's a good Pokemon to utilise.

It's something like love at first sight for me when it comes to Aggron. Aron was one of the first few Pokemon I caught in the many many times I've played through the games in RSE, and Aggron worked pretty well for me, at least in game, with it able to soak up physical attacks easily while dealing good damage with its own repertoire of physical attacks.

yeah, I used Aggron a few times in RSE, but even with awesome defense it still has a 4x's weakness to ground and fighting, + being weak to water with a low SD has never been a good thing. Thats sort of why I stopped using him.

Sentret was the first of the GSC critters I ever caught (in LG, lol; I don't count a brief fling with emulated Silver), so I have a special place in my heart for that family. Too bad Furret still kinda sucks. :/

The thing I've always loved about Sentret and Furret (other than them being adorable and Furret starring in an awesome minigame in Pokemon Stadium 2) is that, while they were clearly meant to be the "stupidly common early-game rodent-based Normal Pokemon" archetype in GSC, Sentret was only on that first route in the start of the game and Furret was only on a few Routes later in the game. Therefore I never got annoyed with them showing up every third wild battle; this is a major reason why, other than cuteness, Sentret and Furret > Rattata and Raticate, Zigzagoon and Linoone and Bidoof and Bibarel.

And did I mention that they're adorable?

SubSalac Primeape with Anger Point is beast if it gets pulled off. Just thought I'd throw that out there

I have a box full of legendary birds on Pearl. I'm considering making three teams, each composed of six of the same bird, and play them in a local monospecies tournament. My favorite of the Smogon sets is the resttalk Articuno, but I've got a couple of good XD birds for Heal Bell support.

{absol}

Alright, let me start off by saying that absol is my favorite dark type pokemon and my fourth favorite pokemon overall.

{absol} @Pressure
@Leftovers
- Aerial Ace
- Sword Dance
- Night Slash/Dark Pulse
- Wil-o-Wisp/Thunderwave/X-scissor

This is my Absol, I love this moveset, works very well for me.

I am sure not many would agree with this moveset but that is what makes me an unique trainer and also an unpredictable trainer as well.

Attack is the main goal, Night Slash/Dark Pulse for STAB and Wilo/T-wave for extra Damage over time. If I feel the need to retrain absol, I will give him X-scissor, Why?

I think the move is a nice secret weapon and the fact that I do not use bug types on my main team.

With this moveset I have a good advantage over a few types.

Bug
Fighting
Phychic
Dark
Grass
Ghost

Woo, Manectric canknow Flamethrower AND Thunderbolt! Those are really good moves. GImme a Manectric! I'm not usually a stickler for electric-types, but Flamethrower is one of my favorite moves.

I wouldn't exactly put this build up as a good build at all, but I always thought my Pearl version Bibarel was hilarious. I got tired of getting killed by the Psychic trainer in the E4, so I looked through my TMs to see what I could do.

Bibarel moveset after my TM searching:
Rock Smash
Rock Climb
Shadow Ball
Headbutt

Yes, that's right. Bibarel, the fat beaver, can learn Shadow Ball, a Ghost-type move. Cool.

Eh, I never really cared for Zangoose, despite my love of Gen III. Weren't there mongooses mentioned at some point in the canon Pokemon universe?

Crosman - I've used this Absol set and it works quite well.

{absol}|Adamant
Ability: Super Luck
@Razor Lens
-Swords Dance
-Night Slash
-Slash
-Aerial Ace/X-Scissor

The idea here is to abuse Absol's ability to hit a CH ridiculously often. Add in Swords Dance and STAB with Night Slash, and you've got yourself the best CH'er since RBY's Dugtrio (in my opinion.)

I didnt know that, and that is really cool.
Did you know that Manectric can learn magnet rise too?
Imagine this set:

Flamethrower
T-bolt
Magnet Rise
Ice Fang (learnable by electrike)

Manectric's attack stat is too low to sweep with an Ice fang, and I'm not sure it can spare enough speed ev's to fix it. But as said above, I believe a Howl set could be possible.
Imagine this set:

Howl
Thunder Wave
Thunder Fang/Spark
Fire Fang/Ice Fang/Crunch

Manectric also has access to Switcheroo, that would be an odd moveset
