Wouldn't these start taking the meaning of Pokemon to a whole new uneccessary level? Yeah some ideas are cool, but I feel this stuff would defeat the meaning of Pokemon. And those jobs are so spread apart in today's timeline, it wouldn't make since. A Knight battling an Astronaut!? Although the idea of chefs and Secret Agents would be cool. Maybe theChefs could have Snorlax's, and the Secret Agents could have "law-defending" like Pokemon.

<font color=ACEACE>Kind of like classes, kind of like in FFX-2 and GoldenSun. I kin of like the idea though some of those classes are not very good c'mon Astronauts!?!? And like 'Guest' said it will add an uneccessary level to the gameplay of Pokemon.

I think people misinterpreted my Posts: all this Topic is about is what new Trainers we could encounter in Gyms & the Wild. It doesn't "change" the Gameplay at all, really.

I( htink knights of old would be kinda stupid... I think yopu should be able to make you own class, instead of yours being 'player'... though I am a smooth player pimp talking daddy.

I like the secret agent the most. He can have a {dusclops} to jump into and hide in. :P

PS: Clawz, My friend was home alone at his house when a Johova's Witness came pounding at the door. The only way to make him go away was to theaten him with a gun :P.

well, secret agents would be kinda neat. I'm also surprised there haven't been cops yet. Homeless pokemon trainers? Sounds like the city. Besides, you don't exactly have to be realistic, considering there are ninjas and psychics, as well as monsters shooting lightning and breathing fire.

personal ideas

Hillbilly
Hippy (if they're anything like the ones in Earthbound, it'd be a riot. Though the Aroma Girls are sorta like that)
Game Junkie
Fortune teller (it'd be like the psychic or hex maniac or medium, but add some variety. Plus it gives opportunities at Miss Cleo cheap shots)
Grumpy Old Man (not like the gentleman, but the scary old man with no teeth, yelling at children for existing and such. Much like the movie series)
Movie Star
Farmer

They really do need to widen the range of the professions. No way are there that many jugglers, etc. in any one area.

Also, many of the ideas (the family friendly ones, like chefs and cops. Hookers and Jehova's Witnesses, although common, would probably be censored to "Hot Girl" and "Self Help Guru" or something lame, and are best left out :P) would be very good to see in the whatever region...

I like the idea of secret agents and cops the most. They could make the secret agents jump out from trees like the ninjas in R/S. Movie star, grumpy old man, and farmer also sound good.

First of all, "Guest" was me. (Forgot to Log-In). Second, yes I did misunderstand your post. I thought you meant the Character (us) changed to those. I apologise for any imposing I did. Then with that cleared up. Yeah, actually that would be pretty cool.

Oh, and trust. New York is nothing special...You really get a taste of what life is.

I finally understand what this topic was about, it just never occured to me... lifes hard when you are scatter-brained like I am.


Anyhow here are my ideas for new jobs for the various people that you come across.

Rent-a-Cops (You find these in the Malls)
Shell Game Operators (You place bets on the shells in the hopes of doubling your money)
Fat Crossdressing Cosplayers {Otaku} (Find these guys at events)
Perfume Saleswoman (You find these at the Malls)
Miners (Find these guys in caves)
Hot Dog Vendors (Find at events)
Cranky old men and women (Find in towns)
Reeferheads (Find in grass)
Tupperware Ladies (Inside random houses)
Gorilla-Gram (Find in towns)
Girl-Guides (Buy cookies which increase Pokemon happiness)
Boy-Scouts (Buy chocolate which Pokemon can hold to stop Attaction to one Pokemon)
Obsessed Fan (More dangerous than the Rival)

well i hate to say it but i think its lame to have jobs and stuff like cars motorbikes skateboards.

one thing i would like in the game would be the pokemon league where you fight other trainers that are a signed to fight you and then at the end you fight the elite 4

Its only "lame" if the world is small, but the DS has much more capability than the SP which means the world will be a lot bigger which means cars or trucks wouldn't be so bad.
