I'm sure this topic has been made before, but if so, it's 100 years old.

Have you ever gotten anything awesome in the GTS? Yesterday I was looking for a level 50+ Magneton for my SS team, when all of a sudden, I saw a shiny one! He wanted a darkrai for it, and the only one I had was a hacked one from a friend. So I put up a really crappy Dragonite at level 100, looking for a darkrai at any level. I logged onto the GTS about 15 minutes later, and then Someone had given me a legit level 30 or 40 or 50 or something Darkrai for it. So to my extreme amazement the Magneton was still there, Needless to say, i traded that Darkrai for it immediately, and got myself a Shiny Magneton. Now, I had to see if it was legit. So i looked at it, and it said it was caught at Route 222 at level 41. Never having played through Platinum, I felt like **** (thinking it was hacked). Then later I was looking at locations for Magneton, and noticed you can catch them on Route 222, AT LEVEL 41, On Platinum. I shat bricks.

That sounds like a fun thing to do on the GTS, shiny hunting.

Yeah, especially when some people put shinies into the GTS as givaways per say...Youtube is my ciatation for this source...

I have done some GTS trades but whenever I see a shiny in there & I come up with the pokemon required for the trade, it is always at the wrong LV range to be acceptable...sucks...

i put up a lvl 100 Lucario in the GTS (which was poorly trained and sitting in my PC collecting dust for the last year), and amazingly seem to have obtained a legit japanese celebi for it. hurrah!

i decided i didnt want my Ev trained latias the other day. I got a level 12 magikarp for it. C:

Then again, i got a Level 5 shiny Mew for a....wait for it...

It's amazing what people will give you for lv 100's. I've also seen people ask for a deoxys giving out a, um, err, barboach :|

Hoboy. Crazy GTS trades, you say?

It turns out that some people on the GTS can't get enough of starters. I've seriously given away a crapload of lvl1 starters (I have all 12), and gotten legendaries in return. (Most of which are legit, by the way). For example:

I gave away a level 1 female {chimchar}, and I got a level 100 (albeit poorly trained) Japanese {raikou}. Some kid in Japan whose character name is "Shadow" in katakana must've really wanted a {chimchar}...

Now, I'm not entirely sure about this trade I made recently:
I received a level 73 {ho-oh} from the GTS. It's different for one reason: the area where it was found says "Kanto. Arrived at Lv. 72"... It has the moves Sunny Day, Fire Blast, Recover, and Solar Beam. It seems like it's the EVENT Ho-oh from FireRed/LeafGreen. What are your thoughts?
(the event Ho-oh knows Sunny Day, Fire Blast, Recover, and Swift. Also, it's caught at level 70) :O

I got a lv 100 Shiny japanese Flower Paradise Shaymin for a shiny japanese Cresselia, it had the fateful encounter flag i sent it to SS and got the Gracidea., and i just got a LV 6 Sinjoh Ruins Dailga and i dont know exactly what i put up for it. I also put up a Totodile for another Totodile,and I happened to get a LV 1 japanese Totodile and checked its IVs amd it has 31 Attack and Speed IVs.

I got a feraligatr named Aligateur and I didn't realize until I traded it to someone else until I realized it was french. Also i got a level 50 Raikou for a a level 40 entei I think I also got a Miltank for a Misdreavus not sure though I got a bad memory

For nearly week I went merkrow crazy
First i put one up and asked for a {dusknoir}
And the next day i got one at lv.100 but i think she is a hack ( it was holding a master ball)
Next I put one up and asked for a {salamence}
And the next day i got one at lv.72 i think it is ligit
And after that i pit one up and asked for a {garchomp}
And the next dayi got one at lv.52 and this one looks ligit to


This went on for a long time slowly geting less and less :lol: it was fun for a bit but now it is not so fun

yeah i got some too..


(probably a little wrong forum cause of the games... )
I cloned some Kyogre's on Emerald and emmigrated them to Heartgold. Then i put them out on GTS for sinnoh pokemon i did not have. I got a lvl 100 galade! which i think was legit since it was catched for a year ago almost. And i got a weavile lvl 100, but i think that one was havcked, since it was caugth with master ball ( dont remember if holding one too) and it was caught 11th of August.2011...
and i got a linoone lvl 100 only because of Pick Up-ability. :P


sorry if this counts as necromancy, but i had to tell about mine crazy GTS trades.

where you putting out lvl 100 Murkrows?? If you were, i think i probably saw some of them, while i were searching for high lvl murkrows to evolve into a honchkrow.

no just lv.47 right out of the safari zone.

just traded like 15 {bulbasaur} s and I got {articuno} {zapdos} {moltres} {dragonite} {mewtwo} {shedinja}lv.100 {kyogre} {groudon}lv.100 {rayquaza} {jirachi}lv.99 and more. most of them are hacks :( :lol: and then traded mewtwo for shaymin :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

The only odd trade I've ever encountered on the GTS was a Lv. 4 shiny Milotic, and the person wanted a female Vaporeon. I had an Eevee in my box, and thank God, it was female, and I used a water stone on it, and got myself a shiny Milotic. I wonder what I could get for it?

A Lvl. 100 Milotic for a plain old derpy Charmander. I think it was hacked through Trainer Pokemon capture, since it says it was acquired at the Elite Four... Cynthia's Milotic, anyone? :o
