What are some improvements that Generation IV has that are better than Generations I, II, and III ?

For me, I like the Poketch, because I can read the time while I'm playing instead of having to go through the menu and find it. I also like the smaller Apps that are useful in times that you don't expect and easily accessible, (calculator, friendship checker, memo pad, and the calendar).

I like the 3D graphics too because it makes the game look slightly more real. The buildings don't really look like houses made of construction paper glued on a larger piece of paper.

And, (because I could go on forever about the things I like about DPP), I like going underground and digging.

In my opinion I like that the moves went literal. In the sense that if it looks like it would actually HIT a Pokemon it became a Physical move regardless of type.

I agree with the Poketch, it becomes handy in the most unexpected situations. But most of all, you can run in buildings! =D

I agree with all the above, but the 3d graphics and running sorta make yellow obsolete, it did when i played on it, its still fun, it just seems slightly dull...love it still though :) I also love the larger variety of places to go after the elite 4..in yellow it was just cerulean cave (and maybe some others, im not sure) and now there is loads of new places still to go.

I like a lot of the fourth gen. pokemon, and personally can't wait to see what the fifth generation may hold. I love the 3D graphics and the many different methods that are used to catch the large variety of Pokemon, post-National Dex. (:

i liked that they added more dragon type pokemon because the previous generations really didn't have alot. If they do make a generation V pokemon game i hope that they add even more dragon type pokemon.

DRAGONS ARE COOL!!!

I love a lot of thenew features, and underground digging is fun but it's also really aggravating when the wall collapses and you had to make one more chink to dig up that Old Amber..

I'm sorry, but I don't like many of the new pokemon. Bidoof? Lickilicki? Come on. Some are cool, definitely, but some are utterly stupid.

I like that they made this region so vastly different from the others. It makes the Pokemon world seem much more realistic. Instead of being a world where all the regions are only slightly different. I also like that, as in RSE, the Legendary Pokemon actually has something major to do with the plot, instead of just being like an uber bonus. The poketch being on the bottom screen was nice, it kept things tidy and quick. DPP has held me off from breaking down for HGSS.
