Of course this works & sadly there is not many who own the Japanese games like me so instead of resorting to the broken GTS, I just perform RNG Abuse...I did obtain a Japanese Chansey through the GTS though & a Japanese Roselia as well but I used RNG Abuse on top of the Masuda Method to achieve absolute results...

instead of hatching a crap load of eggs
couldn't you just hatch one over and over again
walk with it till it says its about to hatch then save
and just re hatch over and over again till its shinny
or is it set in stone once its been turn into a egg if its shinny or not
and not random till it hatches

Unfortunatly it's set in stone. I don't know how. But i tried it. Every time it was the same (Natures, IV's). So im assuming whether its a shiny or not will be the same.

When an egg is created before you even go to get it, everything but the pokemon's IVs are already preset in stone so there is no way to make this work in your favor except by using things like the Masuda Method, etc...also, once you recieve the egg, the IVs are set then so...shiny pokemon are made to be as such (in the case of breeding) when I game first creates the egg (when the day care people obtains the egg)...
