I love how you're talking about somehow has Surf, Ice Beam, Extrasensory, TAUNT (LAWL SUI CANT LURN TAUNT) and Calm Mind. Um, that's 5 move slots.
Suicune is slow, so you're also mentioning how "it can survive this" and "it can survive that" but, you haven't mentioned Rest once and after multiple pokemon have beaten up on Suicune and it has no method of healing, it WILL crumple and die.
Suicune =/= OU anymore.

Suicune =/= OU anymore. I'm not sure he meant taunt, but he did also have roar.

Before anyone gets in a battle, DECLARE THE RULES! It leads to less stress and less headaches. Specifiy if you want legendaries (or ubers) or not.

I do agree, even though half my team is Legendaries. They are just slow power houses. But I do have alot of non-legendary lvl 100's to go around

Basically people have four motivations to put together a team:
1. (Most common) To win. They use a team of OUs which are proven to be successful in battling and win a lot of matches.
2. (Pretty common) To UBERfy people. Mostly little kids who can't win without resorting to Mewtwo (usually hacked with AR too...)
3. (Pretty common) Because they like the pokémon. They like particular pokémon so just use them, even if they suck at battling...
[size=12]
4. (Least common) To try out original combos. They use UU, mostly in original ways, and may be successful, or might just fail.
Of course there are then people that think they are in category 2. when in fact they are not... for example a lot of people think that the legendary birds are Ubers, when in fact they are not.
TEAMS ARE NOT ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK!
It dosn't matter if [insertnamehere] has a group of OU's and you
think thats so sad blah,blah,blah
It's [insertnamehere]'s choice i.e. YOU SHOULD NOT CARE WHAT HIS TEAM IS, PLAY HIM, BEAT HIM, LOSE TO HIM!!!
So yOU are entitled to an opinion and a taste on gaming SO WHAT!
A person's team should be a reflection of their pesonality and traits NOT A REFLECTION OF YOURS.
I thought i'd share that with a bunch of retards who have been patrolling around trying to interfere with my gaming choices!!!!!
Joey thank you for outlining the groups of players.
I honestly didn't know

I thought I responded to this...
What part of "uber metagame" and "not so good legends" do n00bs not understand?
uber metagame - all rules, very fast paced. Any pokemon you want - Ky00ber, T-tar, Tail Glow Hydration Rest MAnaphy, Dialga, Palkia. Against "normal" pokemon, these guys are cheap. but in uber....well, these guys are normal.
It also serves as a place for pokemon not commonly seen to shiny. Shedinja for a long time was big in uber, as were Exeggcutor and Jumpluff. (Note - that isn't now, that was early Emerald/XD Uber battles.)
Another set of pokemon that are legends but can still be used are those like Suicune, Raikou, Zapdos, Regice, Azelf/Mespirit, Jirachi, Heatran, Cresselia, Celebi. These are very good legends, but each were kicked out of uber for a reason. If cresselia was in uber, 90% of all competitive players would vote T-tar as uber (the only decent counter, really). Heatran is 4x weak to EQ and Land Power - two common as sin attacks. Regice is bleh - not such good stats, focus punch destroys it. Zapdos is good, but fears ice beam, ice shard, and ice fang (don't forget avalanche). Suicune has several counters - Psych-Up Regice, Water absorb, Ludicolo, Knock off, Leech seed. COME ON! Celebi is easily tamed by Lapras, most spinners, taunt, and several specific counters. For Jirachi and Raikou, see Heatran - Weakness to Earthquake.
Then there are horrid legends you need to lose a bet in order to use them without being loled. Moltres, Articuno, Entei, Regirock. Yeah, 2 fires, a rock, and an ice - all of them for the banes of rocks slide/earthquake/stone edge, etc.

If you don't mind me asking, how were these mainstays in the Uber environment?

With max special defense/hp evs ect in a sandstream team, combine with curse, a defense naturally over 400 and stab stone edge, sub/punch could fit too. With all that it's pretty diverse, and even if you cursed and they brought in Skarm, focus punch hits before whirlwind no matter what, and stone edge hits the flyers and ghosts hard. 400+in both defenses(sandstream), not utter crap hp like some other tanks, buffable attack, good coverage, just slap on leftovers and it's pretty annoying at least.
405 with 0 ivs on regirock's defense take eq pretty well. Just being weak to eq does not make a pokemon useless. Being able to tank it doesn't make regirock great either, but he Has to be better than entei.

legendaries are put in the game for battling. Sure, they can be trophies, but if hey're gonna collect dust in PC storage, then why have one? (But i do have an AR, so mayyyyyyyyyybe I'm defending them cause I have them all.
