I look forward to more dark or ghost types as well. A Champion that uses legendaries would be cool. It might be cool to have Gyms that are separated like by strategy such as annoyers or special/physical sweepers.

The only mixed champion was Gary/Blue in R/B/Y and FR/LG. In G/S/C it was Lance, who trained only DRAGON pokemon, (altought he had charizard,gyarados and aerodactyl who techincally aren't dragon pokemon).
In R/S/E is the champion Steven, who trains Steel and Rock pokemon.

I know its not a Gym, but its slightly on topic;

Maybe the Champion of the E4 should be a doubles battle? or ''one'' of the E4. But make them really good. At least that would be reasonably challenging.

the final gym should consit of every other gym in one like 1 big conglomorite i would use {lugia},{mewtwo},{umbreon}, {arcanine}, {suicune}

there should be a dark type gym and fo the E4 it should be

1.)Rock,steel,ground
2.)Normal
3.)Flying,Dragons
4.)Psychic,Ghost,Dark

Champ.) A new type

1. Grass- lvls 12-16
2. Flying- lvls 18-22
3. Dark- lvls 23-26
4. Rock/Ground/Steel- lvls 27-31
5. Ice/Water- lvls 33-35
6. Fire- lvls 36-40
7. Electric- lvls 40-43
8. Psychic - lvls 45-50

For the E4, there should not be a set type, but pokemon of similar evolution or "title" (ex. legendaries)
1. Stone evolution- lvls 52-55
2. Trade evoltion- lvls 54-57
3. Happiness evolution- lvls 56-59
4. Legendaries- lvls 59-63
5. Champion- usual mix of types lvls 60-66

That could really give a new, and hopefully challenging twist to the E4.

I really think there should be a ghost gym and a dark gym. Ghost is done, but only once, and dark hasn't been done at all.

Er, the Champ in Emerald is Wallace, who specializes in water type pokemon (Seems a bit unfair, a water gym, a water champion, and millions of water pokemon.), you can still battle Steven, though.

Personally I think there should be a gym for each type. And once you beat the elite four, you can face world champions (other people created who have beatem the E4) later on. There should also be a leader who has an exact copy of your party + moves. Hey if you're good, lets see if you can beat yourself.

I think that the idea of types for each Gym is wearing a little thin. Face it, you know, that if you go and take on Brawly and you have a Shedinja that only knows Tackle, you would still win. This is because you can expect what the opponent is abou to use.

So, what if they focused on different egg groups?
