I am having some problems with the wfc on my pokemon diamond. First of all whenever I go to the gts or the battle tower a few seconds after I log in to the wifi, a block comes up saying a communication error has occured and in the battle tower it says that I have been disconnected from wfc, and in the underground and union room it says I dont even get a signal. I have tested the conecction and it is successful, and I am within 5 feet of the wireless router, can someone help me?

i do perfectly fine on wifi, but you might want to try turning a computer on, cuz that helps me alot too, gives me a beeter signal, i can log on in more places, yeah...
so try that and see what happens

Or maybe make sure someone isn't using the Internet for, let's say, downloading music. That takes alot of time for the CPU and might slow down your connection. But, yes, turning on the CPU without doing anything to it does help with the signal.

did you go into your game and instead of going to your game file you go to wifi setting on main screen and plus when you go underground it wont say you have a signal unless you go under there with somone if not it stays red

Some times I have trouble with it during the night (After 10), the rest of the time I'm up it works great. At first it wasn't working all that well, did you check your DS settings for Wi-Fi? The opions to set it up are at the bottom of the main meun on any Wi-Fi DS game.

when you log in to wifi, you say it says a com error occured. Does it give an error code?
Also, when trying to connect to the Union Room, you're trying to connect with other DS's in the area, not wifi, which is why you don't get a signal.

I've tried turning on the computer, making sure there is no other interference, but it still wont work, there isn't any error code either, its just a few seconds of connection and then error.

Maybe you need the WEP password. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what will.

Of course. That could be the problem with joky, unless there is no security on his router.

Maybe your router isn't compatible with the DS? You could (maybe) connect to it, but can't stay connected...

When you set up the wifi connection (in wifi connection settings), do you get a blue unlocked symbol? And does the "test connection" work?

Those are 2 different things. Wireless internet is connecting to the online servers - GTS, BT, and Friend room. You need wireless internet, either from a router or from the USB Adapter.
In a park, you would connect directly to other DSs, and you don't need any sort of internet connection. You can only connect to other DSs within range, however.

Yes I do get an unlocked symbol and the test connection does work, but my computer does have some security, although wouldn't that just prevent me from connecting at all, I know I have connected because I got a globe from mr.goods(sorry all my posts are so long).

you deleted one of the [/quote] tags...
How far away are you from the router? Is your DS getting a good signal (2-3 green bars)?

I found out that if you don't have a LAN Connection in your house then no wi-fi but there is the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector for a PC. But for Windows XP ONLY!!

Oh, i'm not sure how to tell if we have LAN, but I know the wifi USB connector won't work because we don't have windows, we have a mac.

Since he has a router, and has managed to get the wifi connection settings set up, I don't think that that's the problem. The problem is most likely with the router, or some firewall or antivirus program.

Maybe interference causes the problem, then?

Sometimes, if you get too far away from your wireless router, the performence begins to suffer. Thus, try to remain closer to the router. That's my advice.

I do have a wireless phone near the router, so that might be my and meseta's problem, or it's probably just the security.
Edit: I guess I don't need this forum anymore, the reason is probably the security. Someone please lock this
