my first poke shiny was a growlithe eggs hacked

I can't remember if it was a Caterpie in Crystal (I forget if it was shiny or if I was hallucinating), or the Golbat in Ruby in Victory Road. Both I failed to capture. =) I have no shinies.

My first was a shiney Mightyena in Emerald. Lost the game on a cartrip though.
I never saw another until Diamond were I just got about three; a shiney Glaceon, luxray, and Ninetales. Lost that game too during my last move... I think its a curse for me.

My first was a Shiny Linoone, on Ruby. Then, I got a shiny Kyogre of Sapphire (like a month ago). And... I've got no more shinies than that. I've been trying to chain Magnemites and Geodudes, but to no avail :| At least I have two shinies :)

my first shiny was a shiny machop wich is now a ev trained machamp. lost it a week ago because my brother reset my pearl game wich i traded it to. since then i have only found a shiny aron wich is now a shiny aggron

My first was a Ralts in Ruby. I think it was the first one I encountered, because I didn't notice it was a different color until it was a Gardevoir and and I saw my brother's Gardevoir. By then I knew what a shiny Pokemon was, and didn't make any horrable mitakes. Yay for me!

None yet. I might trade for a nice shiny porygon-z i found on GTS, though...

Good luck getting that Porygon-Z. I want a shiny DItto, that's what I want. Does a shiny ditto transform into a shiny pokemon?????

About the shiny ditto, im not sure, but when i found my first shiny a psyduck, lvl 8, i was like WOOHOO
now he is lvl 36 and i dont use him

My second shiny came after, a shiny sandshrew. i forget where, but it was there
now he is lvl 52 and a member of my team

The first I ever caught/encountered was a shiny Tangela in Silver. I never caught another until Diamond, it was a Pachirisu.

I can confirm that it does not.

There has to be a secret to it because i've never found one before.

Read through this. There is a lot of crappy information and plenty of misconceptions in that thread, but you should be able to weed out the bad info fairly easily.

I caught a shiny west side Gastrodon while using Pokemon Radar.

I also got a shiny Shellder through GTS but I think it was hacked. (It says it was caugt on Route 201 but Shellder doesn't appear there)

iv only caught 4 shinys, not including red garodos. sorry for ym spelling.. in diamond i got 2, it was a drifbloon. and a geodude, which im proud to say that golem is awesome when gold haha. my other 2 was in pearl and platinum, in pearl i was lucky to find a shiny beldum by swarming..and in platinum i found a shiny ryhorn which im proud to say is a rhyperior lvl 90 =)

A Gold Swablu I caught in Ruby. I evolved it. Then, in the same game, I caught a shiny Purple Wurmple that evolved into a Dustox.

Jigglypuff in emerald. North west of the cave with Solrock and Lunatone. Caught it on site with a cloned Master Ball.

My first shiny was a red Graveller back in the GSC days. Since then I have also gotten shiny Shellos (but who hasn't) Shiny Gastrodon, shiny Zubat, and a shiny Raticate.

Well I just wanted to tell you guys, in GSC there was a trick you coud use with the red gyrados to shiny-ize a ditto. I'll try and find a web page with a good description.

The only shiny I've ever found was an Aaron I found while training one of my Pokémon early on in Emerald in the Dewford Cave. I didn't actually realise it was shiny at first but I just noticed that they shouldn't have red eyes so I caught it.

I also found a shiny while helping my brother on his Fire Red. Because he's not particularly good on the game he didn't have any Poké Balls so I couldn't catch it:'(

A shiny Vulpix from LeafGreen... I almost fainted when i saw it lol
