My friend traded over his Misdreavus to me, now a Mismagius, and I think the Perish-Trapper type of Mismagius is pretty ace! But the D/P moveset thread doesn't think too highly of it and I dont understand why. Surely an inescapable certain death to any type of pokemon with any amount of HP within 3 turns is a rather attractive prospect? Does anyone else agree or even use their Mismagius like this? I see it more as a special-ist type of pokemon to take out the big boys as opposed to a bog-standard special/physical sweeper. |

there are advantages to it... and disadvantages perish song also causes the user to faint after 3 turns, which wastes 1 turn of switching out ur pokemon so that it wont faint and mostly people wont use it cuz they can usually faint the pokemon in less than 3 turns i think it is not liked when it is used on them cuz they again have to waste one turn on switching out so in the end, its just a waste of turns |

I'm using the trapper-type Mismagius in my party. The only situation that it really seems viable is for situations when the enemy has a really high evasion, defense, or special defense (their tank) and you don't have a super-effective move for it. In this case it might actually end up being faster to hit it with a Perish Song and Mean Look combo. The thing is that unless someone knows your party they're not going to expect this tactic. Pull it out for a nasty surprise now and then. Sure it's not going to work as well if they're a pure powerhouse enemy, like most people probably are. If they're a staller though this is going to work wonders. |
