I agree, except on one thing,if you are going to have a legend in your team,ONLY HAVE ONE!

I don't think there have been any true legendaries since Mewtwo. They all seem too bland to be considered one of the "Greats". I have not likes any of the trios since the birds, and since you can't use any legendaries in the BT, what's the point?

Meh. The more of legendaries, More fun for me, I love hunting legendaries and catchin' them... except for those damn lati's...

Yah the catching of legendaries is the best part. I personly only have them on my team beacause all of my friends do, but i can always make some other team without them. The lati@s, dog trio, mesprit, and cresselia were more like trophies than the others. showing that you are patient enough to catch them. (ok i have to admit i caught mespit and cresselia in one day but... yah.. i guess thats what i get for having +100 hours on pearl) I think they should have stopped at 30 legends for now. 33 wont fit my PC (i guess ill need to change a box to EVENTS)

I like most of the legendaries except for the Regis. theres just chunks of land mass with a bunch of zits. I just hope they don't get to carried away with making to many legendaries though...

I'm personally not a big fan of the legendaries. I liked the trios (birds, dogs, sprites) but honestly, I wouldn't use any of the other legendaries for battle. I just don't enjoy battling with them. they're okay to catch, they're a bit satisfying to have, but they don't pose enough of a challenge on the feild. Plus there's a gazillion of them! I just don't have the desire to catch 30+ pokemon I'm just gonna leave in the box anyway. PLUS I live in Canada so I can't get the event pokemon anyway. I just don't really see the point, I guess...to each her own.

I think that there are far too many legendaries. Of course, including 5 or 6 is alright, but 12?! And those Nintendo Events ... why do Nintendo only give them in New York? Bring it somewhere else, Nintendo!

i think there are to many legendaries because they are all starting to run together. There is no clever legend backstory to them. First mew is the origional pokemon, now arceus? zapdos articuno and moltres are thunder ice and fire, now raikou suicune and entei? they are all just starting to run together. ORIGIONAL legends i do like. Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Deoxys.

I like the fact that legendaries exist.

Like people before me have stated, they add more depth to the story, and it makes it even funnier to play Pokemon, although I think that maybe, there are too many, but as new legendaries appear, 10x more pokemon show up too, and since there are sooo many pokemon, it's natural that the legendary number increases.



That's something I cannot agree with. In my point of view, it's quite impressive that, as you go on, you realise that you didn't know that already, and there's always a soft twist about the legendary pokemon meaning once a game comes out, which is better than just telling you the start and the end at once.

Pokemon has much more depth than you can see right in front of you. You just need to explore, and get your conclusions.
It's like an abstract painting. The artist gives you what you can imagine with what, but it's up to find out the true meaning/s out.

I think that what most people are worried about is that nintendo is just getting carried away with the legendaries. the number increases with every generation and they'll start ruining the "legendary" quality of them. I like the myths and stories behind them but I think for the next generation they shouldn't go over 6 new ones depending on the region and history of it that is.

My main complaint is that they won't all fit in one box.

I don't care that much about the legendaries. The trios (birds, dogs, regis, psychics) are neat, but I don't care at all about the 00bers like Mewtwo, Arceus, Deoxys, Darkrai etc.

your right, TOO MANY, I have like all most all of them, and I love them...AS TROPHY'S, I never battle with them, but the other day I was battling this guy, and he had a mewtwo, a mew, a celebi, a darkrai, a arceus, a deoxys and a jirachi...

may I say who won? him, does it take a rocket scientist to figure that out? Then I went back to talk, and he was all "I beat you! My strategy rocks! WOOHOO, no one can beat me with this strategy!"

but the thing is.....he didn't even USE a strategy, he just used random moves to kill me, and he use 4 different moves for all the pokemon....not one defensive, all offensive, can I say MAJORE NOOB, only noobs use teams filled with legendarys and say they used a strategy >.>

It isn't much compared to the number of ledgendary creatures in human myth.

The only good time to use an all ledgendary team would be if both players agreed to it. Using them when ever you can, is a total noob thing.

yeah, I forgot to Edit that in, its ok to use all legendarys if the people agree, but if you throw out an all surprise team with legends, thats just total noob, and all so, theres 34, not 33, lol


Now what i REALLY hate, is pokemon tournaments, where someone asks "Can you use all legendarys" or such, and they say its a no Uber or no legendary tournament, that the people get really agree just because they cant use their all so might ubers!

Well yes, but the difference is that only one or two of those myths/legends have a possibility of being true. In pokemon, not only does every legend pan out, but you can catch and train that mystical creature as your own. Aside from that though, I find this is a great point.



All I have to say is wow. If you were a pokeball, you'd have to be the MASTERBALL because you, sir, are a MASTER of reading people. I'm sure I speak for absolutely everyone who disagreed with you when I say it's all true. That facade of wanting a challenge when raising pokemon and putting together teams...come on, we all knew that was a lie, right? Who'd ACTUALLY want to waste all that time raising something from level 1 when you could just catch something that's already level 47 and totally more awsome than any other pokemon in the game?! Why even bother training other pokemon when you're one OOBER pokemon can defeat the entire elite four ALL ON IT"S OWN?!!! I can only dream of having and battling with all the OOBER Pokemon you do. Thank you SO much for exposing our true feelings in this matter, as I'm CERTAIN it was our exact reason for "disliking" the ammount of legendaries and we were just too ashamed to admit it. How CAN there be anyone be complaining, indeed!

If I ever battle someone (which I probably won't), if we agreed on certain rules, and they break them, or if I just don't feel like dealing with them, I'll shut my DS off.

I don't care how many pokemon are legendary, since there's over 400 of them.

Legendary does not mean uber.

I think hunting down all the legendaries adds another dimension to the game play. The only annoying part is the runners, until poketch. Also, 33 out of 493 isn't really that much anyway.
Like Sparrow said, "Just because it is legendary doesn't mean it is an uber."
Something else to remember is that there are a lot of people who play the game just to play & collect not only battle.

Yeah Legendaries are like trophies and u don't have to use them.

They could use more Legends in the game... but I already have enough trouble getting Event pokes until I joined the fourm. The ones that you hunt down give you more of a sense of accomplishment cause you worked for it harder.

Having more legendaries is good, b/c when you've played for a long time and finish the game quickly, it gives you something to do afterwards...especially the harder ones like cresselia and mesprit.
