Yeah, me too. I agree that names like "Dialga, Parukia" suck and I agree that 'Sinnoh' was the posssibly worst name the Region could have (it reminds me of Arabic names though) but the graphics are cool. That's why it's the best.

Sigh. Dialga and Diaruga are pronounced the same in Japanese, didn't you know that? Same with Parukia and Palkia. Whilst I admit I prefer Diaruga, I also prefer Palkia, simply because then they look more different.

Also, Sinnoh is a terrible name, but then at all the forums are matching- other wise, it would be out of place to have on Japanese name and the rest English, enless you'd rather they become Jouto and Houen to go with it..

And as for using Eluraid- thats cool, he rules.

I don't really see why you're complaining about the names. It's not going to effect the gameplay.

Well, I haven't seen a lot of movies, but I did look at one with Erureido in it for boredom and the cry is pretty cool, as with some of the others I've heard.

Also, guys, pretend you had never heard "Shinou", "Diaruga", or "Parukia". Honestly, now do you think Sinnoh, Dialga or Palkia sound as stupid as you say they are? Besides, this is nearly exactly what happened with the Hoenn names ("KYOGRE SUX KAIORGA IS SOOOOO MUCH BETTER"). If I may, I would like to say that I am not comparing Sinnoh with Shinou. I'm comparing Sinnoh with Sinnoh (if you don't understand what I'm saying, I'm trying to say that the way people are commenting (not neccessarily here, some of the other forums I lurk at and/or view), I get the idea that you are so used to Shinou that the name "Sinnoh" creates terror in you; this does not apply to anybody by name or neccessarily anyone here, just wanted to clear that.)

I actually like the name Sinnoh. It has a nice ring to it. But out of habit I'm probably going to keep calling it "Shinnoh".

I'm buying Pearl, and probably Diamond later because I'm a perfectionist (all I have left of the Advanced Generation is Pinball RS and Box, although not sure if the latter counts). But, I'm also buying it because it has a lot of promising features. Waah, waah, the English names suck. Go to the Name Rater, for crying out loud. x_x

Anyways, I would've picked a new psychic pokemon that was completely new to pokemon, unrelated to previous gens and non-legendary. Unfortunately, the only pokemon that fit that description are doomiraa and dootakun. But still, Erureido is only here to prove how overrated the Gardevoir family is. x_x

And the only legendary names that HAVEN'T been romanized have been Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, who have the Japanese names Freezer, Thunder, and Fire, so they obviously couldn't romanize those. And although Nintendo does romanize quite a few pokemon names, they have never just slapped a Japanese name onto a cartridge without romanizing it just a little bit. THAT would be one of the most retarded moves ever.

And the games are awesome because they have 107 new pokemon and they have better features than any pokemon game in the past (note, I said features, not pokemon). And if the features are better, why NOT buy the game? It still has all your favorite pokemon from previous generations, so if you hate Sinnoh so much, then just use those, they're all programmed in, and the only non-legendary, non-starter pokemon you have to trade to get are Tangela and Tropius. Pokemon is still Pokemon, it's the same experience that we've come to love, catching, training, battling, with a little bit of contests and plot mixed in. Get over your hate, and don't even THINK about bringing it back next gen.

But, seriously, they're just names. The game really doesn't care when I go and nickname Salamence Boomanda;it's a game. The same with D/P. So the name Sinnoh sucks in your opinion. Well, you can always call it Shinou. While, of course, the game calls it Sinnoh, that's because it's what the game's programmed to say. Not what you should automatically refer to it by. You can call it Shinou, and anyone who's been paying attention to Japanese stuff for the past few months will know what you're talking about.

I hope I got my point across. In short, they're names, not how you should govern your life. I can go call Professor Rowan Professor Nanakamodo if I so please. The same goes for anyone who dislikes the name Sinnoh.

Dialga, Palkia, Sinnoh... There's no way you can hate how they sound since they sound like Diaruga, Parukia and Shinou respectively if you pronounce all six correctly. You can only hate their spellings because about everything else is the same. And if you got used to the names, they wouldn't bug you anymore. Afterall, they did romanise Daiyamondo and Paaru into Diamond and Pearl.

There ARE exceptions to the rule, you know. Doesn't Uindie sound worse then Arcanine?

Anyways, most of the forth generation pokemon have awful designs, and look horrible. The only ones that I would consider having on my team is Lucario/Riouru, and the final stage of that start of game electric pokemon.

I like the Erureido forum picture, but the names are horrible! Sinnoh sounds like sinner, Matyke sounds wimpy, and Dialga and Palkia sound like they're still in Japanese. However, I'll still buy the game, for the good Pokémon, and ignore the "cute" ones.
