Oh yay pokemon analysis time! (Just a few from me).
Oh yay, definately my starter. Stabbed E/Qs oh yeah.
Wurmple on drugs?
Misdreavus (pre)evo?
MURKROW EVO. <3<3.
Ew.
Ew (again)
Ew x2.
Rukario's (or whatever the hell it's called) pre-evo. Yeah, you heard right.
Magneton with a big head. Yippee.
Lickitung with a bump on it's head. Creative.
I suppose Jynx's evo got ditched in favour of this. Tangela with extra vines, I see a pattern here.
Grass Eevee. Hooray.
Ice Eevee.
Piloswine evo.
Porygon3. What will be interesting is its method of evolution.
Kirlia alternate evo, apparently it's 100% male and half fighting.
Nosepass's evo, which apparently is now half steel, which I'm kinda upset about ;(
An evil Dusclops.
Togetic evo.
Yanma evo.
The rumoured Psychic trio. At least they appear less pathetic than the regis.
(see above)
(see above)
Manafi's PRE-EVO. (That's right, it can make babies).
You can view all Pokemon icons known to this date here. (Includes previous 386 icons + 144 new ones.)

The new Gardevoir is obviously going to focus on Attack rather than Special.
I have expected something like this since the RSE generation and now it's finally here.

Yay, thats all we need. Another overrated piece of trash like Gardevoir.
Anyway, I'm really disapointed with the fire evolution's types. Was it really necessary to make it the same type as Blaziken? :/ They could have made it an interesting combination like Grass/Ground or Water/Steel. :|
As for the Eeveelutions, grass and ice type fail. :P Too bad there wasn't a dragon eeveelution. :(

There's gonna be a third of the Parukia and Diaruga guys! It's gonna be a ghost/dragon type, and I think you need the national pokedex for it. Not to mention, that new Regi guy seems weird. Either his name is Regigigas or Regiking I heard. As for that male Gardevoir, that's making me a bit worried on what exactly it's gonna be though... And that yellow little dino guy evolves into some crazy large(r) headed thing. Even though that's cooler than the fat-backed hunchback evolution of the other little blue dino. And I don't see what's so bad about the new eeveelutions... Though there seem to be much more ledgendaries in this game than any other, and I sorta like that.

I find the new Pokemon to be slightly better than RSE's additions. Some Pokemon do look pretty impressive. The penguin, for instance, has got to be the cutest starter yet, while that Pokemon which is a new Dragon/Electric hybrid (if I'm not wrong, that is) does look pretty cool.
On the other hand, I'm not sure why they're going crazy with all the pre-evos and evolutions. Magneton's evo looks like a regular electrical appliance (who knows, maybe you can make that new Pokebread thingy with it), Chansey's pre-evo was kinda unnecessary, Nosepass's evo looks too silly. These are some I can think of off the top of my head.
Still, I give credit where it's due, and, taking into account all the Pokemon, it's still a pretty good job.

I really think they over did it with the amount of evolutions. Why do we need a fat version of magmar anyway? Not to mention, the chansey prevo is just a tiny fugly lump of disturbing swirly haired mass of dark energy, it wasn't really needed. Besides the onslought of evos and prevos, I like just about all of the pokemon in this new generation.
P.S. When is the release date in the U.S.?

Erureido (Kirlia evo) will be so awesome. I've already thought of a moveset:
Erureido
Scheme/Calm Mind
Leaf Blade
Blade Test
Psycho Cutter
Boost up SA, and maybe SD, too, then Critical Hit away.
Erureido also has a butt-load of Phys. attacks, Bulk Up, and a Base Attack of 125! So far, this guy is my favorite D/P Pokemon.
Edit: Sorry! I'm forgetting the D/P battle system already.

I think many of the evolutions for the original Pokemon were unnecessary. What on earth did they do to Magneton? The one I hate the most would be Magmars... it's plain fat and ugly. Same for Rhydon's and Piloswine.
However, the ones for Misdreavus, Dusclops and Murkrow were pretty good. I can't wait until P&D come out!

<font color="999999">Saanaito, remember that D&P battle system is different and Scheme will do nothing with those moves, since they are all now phisical, unless u change one of them with Psychic, or Shadow Ball, that are special now.
And

I think that the evolutions are cool - except the magmar one. There are too many legendaries though - there are about ten! Why can't there just be one plus the trio (because the trio are cool!)?

Do you think they'll make up to 500 Pokemon one day? They've gone up to 493... only 7 more...

<font color="999999"> oh! about that... u know clawfang? the Japanese name for "Mr. mime" is actually "Barryerd" which is not the least similar to its american name "Mr. Mime" and about "Mime Jr.", it actually called "Manene" in japanese, with it we find the same american issue with this pkmn

...How is that "sick?" Its just a name, I wish people would get over it. Also, you're way behind, because we've had female Mr. Mimes for over six years now.
