Have you beaten the E4 yet? She won't improve your Pokemon's happiness or check it unless you do that, iirc.

Remember that pokemon don't evolve through happiness until you get the National Dex...
but if you give them an item (not in a battle), you can estimate the happiness level by how much the pokemon moves toward you. _________________ Need homework help?
