Hm...I found out that it seems that people from Europe and America hate/ dont like/ does not rely on websites hosted on Geocities!
Geocities sites are often ignored in terms of affiliation.
I wonder why.
So, do you hate geocities sites? And why?

I don't absolutely despise them, but free geocities sites have a ridiculous number of ads, and they don't get much bandwidth. Frankly, having a geocities site sort of indicates that the webmaster is too lazy to go find someplace else, as there are plenty of other free webhosts who'll give you a better deal.
I have a geocities account myself, and I use it to test things out and mess around with HTML, but I don't use it for anything I plan to seriously show to the world.

Why hate geocities? Because they keep coming up with more ways to put more annoying ads in more places. Because they give the average joe the idea that he can be the world's greatest webmaster using a drag-and-drop GUI. Because you get plain HTML and CSS and nothing else.
Because they just plain suck as a webhost, that's why. That being said, I'm simply too lazy to sign up for anything else, and because I frankly don't care enough about my geocities site to do much of anything with it..

Are there any freehosts that doesn't have ads, or as a ad banner for you to put anywhere as you like?

Well, I would recommend Freewebs.com ( http://members.freewebs.com/) if you want no ads at all. Of course, this means that features are severly limited, but is great for a personal website. I haven't used it in a long time, but it might just be a little better now.
Don't bother with Geocities or tripod. It's really bad.

http://www.thefreesite.com/Free_Web_Space/ is a whole listing of free web space providers, with a variety of different combinations of features and ads. 95mb.com is pretty good, I've used it before- not huge piles of space, but no ads and a nice domain name. There are plenty of other options for what you need, though, and almost all of them offer a better deal than geocities.

Depends on the site, most won't. If they do, say you're from the states when you sign up
