So today was my dad's birthday, so he decided to take our whole extended family out to yumcha today! Yes, the food was great, and yaddida yaddida, but something ... awkward happened to me as we were waiting to be seated. A guy, shorter and a bit larger than me, all of a sudden just randomly walked up to me and said "Hey! OMG Do you remember me? It's been so long? How are things? etc etc," all to which I replied, "uhhh hey?"

I swear I had not met this guy EVER in my entire life, I didn't even remember his name! As the conversation got longer (with him doing most the talking and me bobbing my head up and down like one of those dogs in asian cars), I found out that he went to primary (elementary I think is the equivalent) school with me, and he had finished his secondary schooling the year before. I really didn't know what to say, so I pretended to be interested in what he was talking about (..something about scores, sports, meh I don't know what he was talking about I was trying so hard to remember who the was) and occasionally I would risk questions like "oh, so how's your sister?" (thank goodness he DID have a sister or else I have no idea how things might've turned out!)

Well, that has got to be one of the most awkward position I have been in ever! I really wanted to ask "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU" but decided against it, and still right now don't have a slightest clue over how he knew me. Probably stranger things have happened before but I don't really remember them, but my question to you is; in what situation(s) did you feel most awkward in?

How about when you're in the school bathroom stall, and you come out and there's someone waiting to use the stall, and they just stare at you? Totally awkward...

When you have to turn around while people are walking the same direction. You always have to say "Oh crap I forgot" or something

Totally agree with you there. I also hate it when people walk up behind you in groups and start talking about random things. That way you can't turn back and are forced to listen to their conversation. There's also the slim chance they're about to mug you.

When I'm walking my dog and pass a house with a dog without a leash, and it's owner is working on something outside and not paying attention, and the dog follows my dog. I don't know wether to pick up the dog and bring it back (they might think I'm stealing), leave it, or spaz at the owner for not having their dog on the leash.

Maybe this is just me but I hate it when youre going to the bathroom and someone says hello and tries to start a conversation.

Hmm awkward stuff... How about when you are shy and everyone thinks you are notso they constantly want you the one to go and talk or do things you know?
Well the most awkward thing that has happen to me would have to be when I was taking a shower at Football camp and this guy was just staring at my package and says wow! I was like WTF is going on so I turn off th water and went to change....shuddered at the flashback....

when your waiting to be let in to a house that you were invited to and the person who lives there is pulling into the driveway and forgot about you.

When you forget someone was coming to visit you and thier just standing out in the cold waiting for you to open the door.

When you leave your friends house and right before you leave hes missing some stuff and your pockets are bulging, then he checks em and thier full

when you decided to call a friend who you used to know but decided never to talk to him/her again because he/shes a porn addict.

when you clog a toilet at a reletive/friends house.

when you have your period/wet dream at somebody elses house

when somebody else has thier period/wet dream at your house

when your staying at somebodys house and you get this stained blanket with food, spit and....somthing mentioned in the obove.

when you go to a forum you havent been to in forever because you were busy bieng emo.

A few years ago, I was at summer camp, and it just so happens my counselor and I were using the bathroom at the same time. He was in the stall adjacent to mine. As I did my business, I plopped a rather heavy chunk of waste in the toilet, and it made a large noise and splash. And I heard my counselor yell from the other stall, "NICE!!!!"

How about when you go to one place and find out its the worng place. Same with phones

I was at a fair and I was just standing there talking to my friends when this rather large gentleman came up from behind me and picked me up. I didn't say anything. He put me down and turned me around..hehe.. and then he had this shocked impression. He said "Sorry, I thought you were someone else." Then he took off. I faced my friends who were laughing at me and just stood there feeling awkward.

when you use the urinals and if theres someone else there they ..look :roll: i meen i just wanna shout take a picture show it to your freinds and if your in the middle of class and you go to the bathroom when you comeback in the door everyone stares it makes me wanna say AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH real loud that was good i feel sooooooo much better AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH or when your walking one way someones coming at you and you move out of the way and the person moves that way and you move back and forthe a few times trying to continue walking aaawwwkwaarddd it always makes me feel even more stupid then usual

when you rlike going somewhere with your dad and your dad and yuou look away for a few while you guys are standing looking at whatever yoou look somewhere else turn back around and hes gone and you go over to a guy who has like same color shirt and about same build and you either say something or follow them then you see their not your dad and y thats happend to me then they turn arount and looks on their faces are like wtf...

When there is someone on the phone and you don't know what to say and they ask very awkward questions, but it would be rude to just hang up. I dislike that intensely.

I think nearly every guy can agree that talking and eye contact at the urinals is not comfortable. The best method of comfort is for all guys in the bathroom to just look up and shut up.

Urinal Etiquette.

Rule #1: Do not speak... Ever.
Rule #2: Do not make eye contact.
Rule #3: Stare at the wall and/or ceiling and nothing else.
Rule #4: Breaking Rule #3 results in missing teeth and/or a caved in face.

Anyway... Awkward moments aren't that bad for me. I can go from feeling awkward to seeing a situation I can make fun of... I dunno if that happens to anyone else. Maybe I'm weird like that :p

You forgot two rules:

Rule #5: Never choose the urinal next to one that is being used.
Rule #6: Always stand as close to the urinal as possible.

But yeah, awkward moments are always easier to take when you can end up making fun of them.

Whenever I do have my awkward moments I usually laugh about them.

This happened to me the other day.
So, I was at the store with my mom and their was this severe old bi-polar lady there. She was talking to herself, talking to other people, taking off with other people carts, laughing hysterically about nothing. Basically the whole nine yards. So anyways, my mom starts talking to her and of course I couldn't understand a word she was saying. But all of the sudden, she comes up to me and starts rubbing my butt and giggling. She did it like, 2 times..

Orrr... how about this one?

It was the 3rd day of school and I was getting picked up. There were two black chevy tahoes parked out front, and of course I get in the one that wasn't mine. When I opened the door they gave me the most horrid look. I wanted to cry.

The thing with the leash-less dogs, bother me to no end. I go walking with my sister all the time, with our Shepard/mix. People don't realize our dog can do some real damage, and if the leash breaks and defends us against a leash-less dog, it's their problem, not ours. (I don't want to see any animal get hurt, because a persons stupidity.)

Let me think... there was this one time, in school, where we had to go to the auditorium for a class due to a teacher absence and a lack of substitutes, and my best friend's class also had to go, so I was hanging out with her and everything. This one dude I know came up to us to sell us some munchies, and he asked both of us if we were going out, which we weren't.

A few minutes later, another one of my friends showed up to see what's up, and he also asked if I was going out with her. The thing is, I liked her a lot, so it was really weird how close they were while still being wrong.

VERY awkward moment there, that was. But hey, my life is very crazy, it's a wonder I'm not insane.

I'm just glad that I'm not a guy, so I don't have to deal with the whole urinal deal.

No, the worst is when someone gives you the wrong directions to their house and you end up at some random stranger's house and they just look at you and say "No, you want the house opposite". Learn your left and right people!
