Best Song: Dare You to Move (Switchfoot). Technically, 2003, but became a radio single in 2004.

Best Music Video: Venom (GS Megaphone)

Best Movie: Spiderman 2, iRobot (although everyone else hated it)

Best Reality Show: Fear Factor (the only thing right about reality television)

Top 10 Moments: I don't know, I don't keep track.

Best Song
Modern music is pretty weak... This year, both Aerosmith and U2 kept rocking with some great songs/albums. But if I have to choose modern musicians... Maroon 5 were pretty good. "This Love" is pretty catchy.

Best Music Video
Walkie Talkie Man - Steriogram. Directed by the one and only Michel Gondry. The entire music video takes place in a world completely made out of yarn. Yet another example of Michel Gondry's brilliance.

Best Movie
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, hands down.
RU: Closer, Sideways, The Aviator, Collateral, The Motorcycle Diaries, Finding Neverland, Oldboy.

Best Reality TV Show
Reality Shows are the lowest possible form of entertainment, if you ask me. The only one that's even fairly normal is The Apprentice.

Top Ten Moments of 2004
10. How much hype The Passion of the Christ got, when it turned out to be a pretty mediocre movie in the end.
9. Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction"
8. Paris Hilton gets sluttier than ever, with a series of racist remarks, not bothering to show up to the openings of her own restaurants/nightclubs, and just being the rich blonde SLUT she's always been... God I hope she dies one of these days.
7. Marlon Brando, Christopher Reeve, and the one and only Ray Charles, die.
6. Return of the King sweeping the February 2004 Oscar ceremony.
5. The Summer Olympics fiasco.
4. Strange media coverage of the Indian Ocean Earthquake/tsunamis.
3. Breakthrough in media as reporters are sent along with military forces in Iraq to bring back news in real time. Saddam Hussein's statue being knocked down is caught on tape in real time. The war in Iraq is over - Saddam Hussein is captured. There, you had your war, Mr. Bush. Are you happy now?
2. Michael Moore's reaction to George Bush's re-election (he locked himself in his home for a week, refusing to see anyone and not watching TV/listening to the radio. What an arrogant pig.
1. George Bush being re-elected. Silly Americans, they don't know what they're in for...

I was being sarcastic :P While John Kerry wasn't the best candidate there could have been, as long as Bush would have lost I would have been happy.

Nido: you forgot Rodney Dangerfield in the deaths list >:(

Best Song: I don't listen to modern music that much, But I did like the new stuff by U2. As a runner up, I'll be weird and say Korn's cover of Cameo's "Word Up"

Best Music Video: I don't have cable, so I don't see music videos... ever...

Best Movie: Eternal Sunshin of the Spotless Mind, I Robot(I liked it, the people that gave it bad reviews are fatasses like Roger Ebert who make thumb motions like they're Caesar), Collateral.

Best Reality Show: Let it be known that I don't like reality shows, The only one I liked was Last Comic Standing.

Top 10 moments
10. Jay Leno announcing Conan O'Brien as his successor for the Tonight Show Host.
9. Reality Shows hit a new low with "Who's Your Daddy?"
8. The Arrival of the Nintendo DS (Yes it's that important. Shut up.)
7. The trials that are just a big problem (Scott Peterson, etc.)
6. Recent television fiascos (wardrobe malfunctions)
5. The sad deaths of the celebrities in the past year. (These were actors and musicians I actually liked, not goofballs I never heard of/liked)
4. The Olympics
3. The recent Tsunamis in Asia
2. Listening to all the doomsayers bitching about how the election went. I for one am sick of all this "OMG IT'S GONNA BE LIKE 1984" crap, and people blaming/insulting all of America for one asshat.
1. The election (regardless of turnout, it's an important event)

Best Song: Pokemon Colosseum's Battle Mode Music

Best Music Video: I don't watch Music Videos. Pokemon is more exciting.

Best Movie: The Naked Gun, The Naked Gun 2 & 1/2 - Yes, I know they were made in 1988 and 1991, but it still beats most of the crappy movies in today's society with all the murders and swear words that're used. Comedy still beats them all - And these must be the #1 Comical Movies of the Century!!!

Best Reality TV Show: The Apprentice 2 - Yes, I do like Donald Trump and I do want to become as rich as he is someday...But I hate the people on the show who have snobby attitudes, who swear, who backstab others, etc...the list goes on and on. Suffice it to say, most reality shows, like the Amazing Race 6, only have people like that on them - with the exception of one or two people or teams.

Top Three Most HATED Moments of 2004:

#3 - Not having a Gameboy Advance SP until August.
#2 - Seeing our liberal government changing long-established laws. What kind of complete stupidity is that?
#1 - Seeing our liberal government be re-elected back into office! The Sponsorship Scandal! Taking money from our pockets and putting it into useless things! Making Canada look like a joke by putting $0 into our military!

EDITORS NOTE: As much as I do, at heart, agree with you on many of your opinons, the way it was phrased is inappropriate for these forums. I tried to leave your opinion intact, but some things had to be removed according to our standards. Please refrain from such outbursts in the future.

Best Song:
Can't really single down one song at the moment, but Brian Wilson's Smile (album) is beautiful.

Best Movie:
Gonna have to agree with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind here. I totally loved everything about it (even though I had to re-watch it afterwards) and the ending was top notch. Oh yeah, and The Incredibles just squeezed into 2004 here, so that'll have to tie for best movie. Pixar can do no wrong.

Best Reality TV Show:
Only reality show I watched (on a regular basis) this year was The Apprentice. Trump is a crack up.

Top Ten Moments of 2004:
All of the media events for me were already mentioned, so personally, my one great moment of last year was seeing the Finns live in concert. It was great; their set consisted of a wide range of Split Enz, Crowded House, and solo songs. Olympics are always great to watch, also.

Exactly what I thought at first, but I think he's talking about Canada, were he lives. I don't know much about Canadian politics though...

Best Song
Err...thats a hard one. I guess Float On by Modest Mouse or Signals Over the Air by Thursday

Best Music Video
Well, didn't see many at all this year, but the Afternoon Delight Video with Will Ferrell was REALLY funny. But I really liked End of the World by The Cure.

Best Movie
Anchorman. Period.

Best Reality TV Show
I hate all of them. I guess...Cops, if that's acceptable. I doubt it is, seeing as Cops is REAL

Top Ten Moments
I cant name ten that I liked...I can't even remember one. 2004 as a whole was really boring IMO.

Best Song-
I don't really listen to new music. I am pretty much stuck in the 80's and some of the 90's.

Best Music Video-
I actually havn't seen anything, I am never up late/early enough to watch Rage or Video Hits, and I don't get any music channels, I would never watch them so why bother paying an extra 5 bucks a month for them?

Best Movie-
I have made a list:

1. Team America World Police
2. Shrek 2
3. The Incredibles
4. Kill Bill Volume 2
5. Meet the Fockers

Best Reality TV Show-
RTV is complete garbage. It does not pass as suitable viewing. The only things I watch are Documentries about Science and War and some stuff on the Comedy Channel, and maybe some Cartoons, Pokemon, if they aren't re-runs.

Top Ten Moments of 2004:
10. SouthPark Episode 801 - 'Good Times With Weapons'
9. SouthPark Episode 802 - 'Awesom-O'
8. SouthPark Episode 805 - 'You got F'ed in the A'
7. SouthPark Episode 810 - 'Preschool'
6. SouthPark Episode 814 - 'Woodland Critter Christmas'
5. SouthPark Episode 813 - 'Cartman's Incredible Gift'
4. SouthPark Episode 808 - 'Douche vs Turd'
3. Southpark Episode 811 - 'Quest for Ratings'
2. Team America World Police
1. I got a job and get 12 bucks and hour teaching 9 years olds how to add. I then buy fireworks.

As you can see it was a great year for Trey and Matt this year releasing some of their best work yet.
