This may seem like an odd topic on the best pokemon site but...

I'm going to Full Sail University soon and was wondering if anybody knew about housing for a college student in winterpark, orlando, florida. I've been searching around for ages, but can't find solid info. In a perfect world I'd like average prices for 1 and 2 rommates in housing really close to the school from someone who lives in the area or is knowlegedable about this stuff.

This topic isn't about full sail
or about how dumb rochelle is...never mind (L4D2 joke)
p.s. I'm not really expecting any responses

they don't offer accommodation for all first-year students? that's pretty harsh. most unis I've visited over here guarantee a room for every fresher.

can't really help you out, what with being in the wrong country and all. but you have my sympathy~

Not only guarantee, but I haven't heard of a single 4-year institution that doesn't REQUIRE first-years to either live on campus or commute from their parents/guardians' residence, simply because first-years living on their own would spike the number of sub-2.0 and dropout students and unskew the carefully groomed statistics they mail out to prospective students.

Full sail doesn't offer housing to freshmen because they don't have on campus housing or dorms in the first place

I know Hunter (where I am) doesn't even have housing near its main campus. The only "housing" they have is a minimum, 40 minute commute, and that's with no traffic and perfect connections.

Its a raffle for first years to get housing, and you probably have a better shot at getting hit by a snow plow.

And that's considered good - only 2 other colleges in the system have any type of dorming, and it is MAAAAAAAAAAAAAD expensive.
"Yes, tuition is 5K. Bill due: 25K" "HOW MUCH?" "You're dorming" ":"

Which is why I stay at home, and spend an hour commuting - why should I have to work before school, when someone else can drive?

Under residential options, they suggest either looking for a renter, or going to the various temporary facilities, like the YMCA (maximum 1 week stay).
