I got a brand new laptop, so no more crappy desks! As soon as I get MS works installed, I don't have to rely on other computers when elsewhere too.

I use a desktop because I enjoy being able to update the Hardware inside (You cant upgrade a Laptop like you can upgrade a desktop).

I use my laptop for chatting, general browsing, etc, and my desktop for school work. I bought them both myself. (even though their specs aren't very good).

I have both; I have a desktop that I build in 2005 (so it's a bit dated) and a laptop I bought March 2009. Right now I'm using the laptop though.

You call that dated? My desktop is about 8 years old now, ( I love her, but sometimes I just want to drive a bus over it)

I'm using a laptop. The bad thing is, it dies quickly

Considering my laptop has much better specs and its installation of Windows is much more stable, I'd have to say yes. The average lifespan of a computer is about 3 years, and even though it's still fully functional, it's pretty slow by today's standards. I got $1400 last year from income tax so I decided to invest in a $500 laptop.

I'm a little credulous of that. Desktops don't have to go the way of the dinosaur after a few years. Operating systems and equipment can be switched out and upgraded. There is still slow-down and things, but I think it's really wasteful how short the lifetime of a computer is most of the time.

My Sony desktop is back from 2003.
Since then, my father had invested a bit of money into another computer who's motherboard completely blew. I upgraded my ram from 512 Megabytes to 2 gigabytes, with the Hard drive going from 80 -> 200 Gigabytes.
Runs like a charm, runs my old 98 / XP games efficiently, as well as my chem research programs. Also good for huge file-transfers and backup.
I'm using my nice laptop (gotten in August 2009 for $800, also a SONY) for most of my school work and internet stuff, so I can put my feet up and watch tv. Can't complain.

I use a S***ty 10-year-old Desktop whose screen is so bad Psypoke's background looks Solid Black.
Occasionally I use my Wii's Internet, but the typing there is awful, but colors are good.

LAPTOP!
They are so convenient, i love it. Its more comfortable too. I am using a Dell currently but soon i will get a MacBook Pro. I have an HP laptop too, but the speakers are busted. It only works if you plug in earphones. I also have a 2000 computer, but it lags a lot.

I've been there man. It is not fun at all.
Fortunately, I just recently invested in a laptop, so no more tedious Wii posting for me!

Desktop. Got it for Christmas in 2007 and it still runs like a dream. I love it to pieces. Still using all the original hardware except for my keyboard. My old keyboard still works, but doesn't have as many epic media keys. Hoping to get either a small laptop or a netbook for my birthday, but I don't know how well I'll be able to transition. I'm quite spoiled here -- this machine is MUCH faster than I need it to be and my monitor is 22".

Haha, well I thought Crossman was funny.
I have a desktop. I wish I had a laptop though so I didn't have to sit in the livingroom.

I've been pretty busy lately so sorry for ignoring PMs and such, but hopefully I can catch back up on them in the next few days.

I just wanted to show off my brand new monitor. It's 20" (or 21"?) wide. I have a bunch of Pokemon cards on my desk so I tried to spread them out to get a picture of them, but my camera sucks so they're really blurry. My favorite HGSS card is the one standing up. I made my previous post in this thread via a laptop, but now I'm making a post from my desktop! It's a great computer; it just desperately needs windows xp to be reinstall on it.

Laptop, although I prefer desktops since they are most of the time, faster for gaming.

I'm using my laptop that's been to Iraq and back, lol. It fell off my 5 foot lofted bed one time and ever since then, even though it's been repaired it still hasn't been the same. Oh well.
And now it has a "The South Butt" sticker on it. I lol every time I see it, and yes, I never stop relaxing.
