This is unacceptable. "Anyways" is nonstandard in English, and ergo, it is not a real word. It's "anyway." Please, **** correct yourself and stop using "anyways." Thank you.

God damn.

There was a point in time that "ain't" was a contraction of "I am not" that was actually grammatically correct. "Anyways" was never more than slang, at best.

You guys and your language, make us foreigners confused. :(

I always thought that "ain't" was either used as an equivalent to "am not" (even though the correct form is "amn't", I think?) or to "is not". I still find it an awkward word and never use it, unless I think the sentence will look weird/too formal if I don't.

"Anyways", in my mind, is/was an informal use of "anyway", and "anyways" could be used all by itself (such as in "Anyways, I'm off"), while "anyway" sounded better if followed by another word (such as in "But, anyway, I'm off").

Haha, I'm so confused.

We sometimes slur our speech, and it becomes "catchy" if you will. Almost like a virus.

"Ain't" wasn't proper English until the 1990s, outside of Ebonics and redneck areas, if that. Ain't is a sort-of made up conjunction of am and not.

"I ain't gonna do my homework" is actually "I am not going to do my homework"

Similar to "Injun" subbing in Indian - you speak quickly, and words slur together. Or when used in close proximity to other words like "going to to do something" - say that quickly and/or defiantly, and you arrive at "gonna do something" - to-do has little separation in sounding unless annunciated, and after doing it for a long time, it becomes second nature.

These new-age-nuances end up getting annoying if you don't speak the language - imagine my horror if/when I go to another country, and they aren't speaking like I learned, using more than bad grammar, but completely misusing vocabulary and destroying conjugation.

616 is the devil's number!!!! :O (some people say it's 616 as apposed to 666) anyways....with all the internet talk, and American terminology these days, I don't think I'm going to have a hernia at the utterance of the word "anyways".....plus, it rhymes with Milliways, which is always a good thing ;)

Yeah, you are. You can say it like this; maybe it won't sound as weird:

"Awwwwwwwwwww fun! :D"

Perhaps that will make it more appealing. Eventually, you'll get over how weird it sounded at first, and you can say it normal from then on.
